Top of the league nearing the half way stage! What more do people want!

To look like we are good enough to stay there would be nice. It's great that we are in the position that we are in. I don't think we'll win the league, I think we'll come third and have done since the summer. If we could put some daylight between ourselves and the teams who are better than us, i.e. ManU and Chelsea, we'd have a pretty good chance of nicking it. As we don't seem to be able to, I expect the league to settle at the natural level and we'll have a pretty positive but ultimately disappointing season in the league, hopefully progress on previous years being the comfort. This is just my expectation, not my desire etc.

Have to say I fell into depression yesterday, but on hindsight the sun is out. Manure still have problems as Andersen/Nani/Park don't look anywhere near the business and Scholes/Giggs need sending to the glue factory. They shouldn't have the same thrust as they did last season. Chelsea also can't handle tough matches, and other prem teams now know it.

Our problems are breaking resolute defences at home, but we know our limitations. So let's see who can break their chains up until Christmas. I'm hoping to beat Blackburn as 1) its away and 2) Its the managerial genius Ince's team.

What's difficult to understand is that some people are saying we've lost the league.

If we win our remaining games we'll win the league FFS, no other teams will do that. As for a harder run in or not, we've still got more points than the rest. What a disaster!

Yes it is but it is equally tedious reading the same negative drivel by the same posters. I can understand their concern but at the end of the day every ****ing team in this league would swap our position no matter how much points we 'lost' at home this season.

But I also understand that football discussions can't be 'extensive' and would always revolve on the same issues and it's bound to be really boring. It's as if Rafa isn't trying to address these issues on the training pitch every day.

But that "negative drivel" is just their opinion, they're not constantly abusing other posters are they? You are never going to get everyone with the same positive outlook on here so why does it annoy some people so much that they feel they have to go off on epic rants?
