Tevez is only a £30m player if he goes for that. Otherwise his value is purely subjective, surely?

As for Ronaldo - well they paid £12m for him, so if he's worth £30m now, isnt that just brilliant judgement on their part?

Maybe rather than whinge that they have players like Ronaldo, we should go out and spot these kind of players when they cost around £10m.

And if they have 5 and we have 2 - they dont have 4 or 5 more than us, do they?

Sorry, get caught out did you, never read the original post correctly. I'm not whinging, i'm simply stating the quality available to Ferguscum, he bought them as you say, not exactly brilliant though spotting Ronaldo, Tevez, Rooney, Berbatov.

Why do you always need to be right, it's just a forum ffs, give over.

Ok. If you can't guess, i'm feeling grumpy today. But i just get a bit fed up when people constantly point out Rafa's failings, but when i look at what that **** has available and hear nothing about dropped points it's irks slightly. Sorry if i offended you, not meant. I'm off for a Coffee, that'll help.

I got caught out? No that wasnt me.

You stated that they have 4 or 5 MORE £30m players than us. Even if we go along with Vidic and Tevez being £30m players (inconclusive), that gives them 5 and we have 2.

So how do they have 4 or 5 more than us?

Might not be hard to spot those players like Rooney and Ronaldo, but he had the courage to shell out the cash and gamble on them. We could've had Ronaldo but we didnt go with it, because we usually prefer to spread £12m over three players. So we got the likes of Diao.

And dont get all wound about about the rafa thing, this issue over Ronaldo wasnt even during Rafa's time, so nobody's pointing the finger at him.

I hear what you say about who he has available, but i'm sorry, Rafa and LFC has MORE than enough to beat those sort of teams.

The failure to sign Ronaldo falls at the door of Rick Parry due to the fact the Ronaldo wanted a £1m signing on fee and he said no incase it would upset the La gems we signed in the same summer.

So as a result of Parry ****ing about we lost out on Ronaldo and what looks like to be £100m transfer fee plus if he was playing for us last season and this i am sure we would have won the title and be clear at the top this season. But thats if and buts but **** no the less.

As much as I hate to say this, Fergie made Ronaldo what he is/was. Whether Houllier or Benitez could have done that, I'm no so sure. Fergie's idea of creative freedom allowed Ronaldo to flourish in an expansive system whilst Houllier would have played Ronaldo somewhere else and Rafa would have restricted his movements and freedom.

That is something we will never know but this is another example of the incompetence of our CEO as apposed to the CEO of united. This is why rafa should have the final say on transfers as Parry has failed time and time again as he thinks he knows best.

FWIW he paid £30m for Veron as well remember and about £50m for Nani, Anderson and Hargreaves. Only Chelsea have matches the Mancs spending

So they have more at their disposal than us, nobody didnt already know that.

Do we have enough to win at home to newly promoted sides?

Unbelievable, Your being plain stupid now, READ THE ****IN POST, (no you never got caught out, riiiiight, but youv'e just done exactly the same thing AGAIN.) I NEVER said they had 4 or 5 MORE than us, I SAID They have 4 or 5 or more players in the 30mill bracket.

                        Is what i said.

Yes they bought Ronaldo for 12 mill, but would you not say that utd even have an advantage over us where attracting players is concerned, i'm not so sure that had we matched their bids for Ronaldo or Vidic that they would have choose us.

Anyway, What a waste of time, all because you didn't read what i wrote then had THE NEED to pull me up on it, and without even adding a smilie.

Do we have enough to beat newly promoted sides at anfield?

Don't know, but wev'e so far had enough to beat the champions and second placed premiership side & Champions league finalists/winners, it's a tough one.

Everyone say's football, when played properly is a simple game, but why then is it never that...er..simple, you sometimes get what you don't expect and don't get what you do, the problem, is with the expectation.

Yes we have the ability to beat them - what is your point?

Can we keep this thread on track instead of another "we cant beat the smaller teams" debate.
