Anyone else worried about Wednesday nights game?

I must admit that aside from our results our 2 performances have been pretty dire. I just hope the slight fortune we are enjoying does not catch up with us on Wednesday.

Liege will be closing us down for sure and we have really struggled when faced with this type of opposition. Time for some of the other players (such as Benni, Babel, Keane, Kuyt, Alonso) to stand up and be counted to ensure we are in the draw for the group stages of this seasons CL.

I am very nervous about thi game and just hope we can play football to a far higher standard than we have thus far.

If it stays 0-0 for a while I'll be nervous but I think we could destroy them if we score early.

I think the goals will come Wednesday. Babel and Aurelio should come in on the left and give us more of a threat.
Oh the man is a midfield maestro

These are always tight games, I don't think we should underestimate them. Also this is made trickier because of the 1st leg result, even if we go one up a goal for them will put us out
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I’m expecting this to be the game that really kick starts the season and gets our confidence soaring, a bit like Toulouse last year.

I’m actually glad we have this game, because on the strength of the last three performances I’m sure the team wouldn’t have been overly confident going to Villa Park.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

No. We will win 5-0 or thereabouts wednesday and that win will set us up nicely for the remainder of the season. When we beat the scum in a few weeks we will still be top of the league and we wil then kick on from there and everyone will know its No.19 time.

            Thats whats going to happen.

Slightly nervous, liege will def have confidence after their performance two weeks ago. With that said, I am sure our players will step up when game comes up, it is for the CL after all, and everybody wants to play it...

Hopefully the crowd will do their stuff before kick off and unnerve SL. I think it could be an edgy first 10 minutes before we settle and start to push it about and dominate.

                Here's hoping anyway.

having seen the 1st leg, i never realised how decent liege were. they'll still be on high and will try to pass it around as they did in the first leg. i'm just as nervous about this game as i am about every lfc game. hopefully we can get an early goal as i beleive this will install confidence in every player we put out onto the pitch and un-nerve liege.

                        Nah...

It might be scrappy, but we'll progress.

Me too. Then, as the game gets nearer i'll become less so.....culminating in the ten mins before kick off into a really pessimistic mood, with prophesies of doom and the like.
