We have 4 more games of this 10 to complete and on current form we must be certs for maximum points, especially as 3 are at Anfield.

    Fulham H
    West Ham H
    Blackburn A
    Hull H

Chelsea are the team to beat and will be up there all season challenging but hopefully we can get in front before Xmas.

As for United's challenge, if we win these next 4 games, then I think they could seriously be out of it as they have 3 very tricky away games at Villa, Tottenham and Man City coming up. They could easily drop more points in the weeks ahead.

It's all pretty surreal at the moment. Played away at Chelsea, Everton, Citeh and Villa, as well as home to the Mancs...and we've still only dropped 7 points. 32 from 13 games is utterly superb and when you look at those next four games, it's not inconceivable that we could have 44 points from 17 games, which would a better ratio than the vast majority of title winning sides over the years.

I just hope we continue and Chelsea dont amass a freakish tally.

10 Years ago if we were in this situation the league would be all but over, but as Craig_H said Chelsea could put a big number on the board so lets just take it one game at a time!!

The totals there show how much the bar has been raised since Arsenal's invincible team as we realistically need 90 points to win the league. We currently can get more than 45 by game 19 which is the halfway stage. If we can, we have to make sure we maintain that form in the second half of the season. Those next five games are: Fulham, West Ham, Blackburn, Hull, Arsenal. Three of those games are at home, Blackburn and Arsenal away. If we are to look to the end of the year, we have Bolton and Newcastle, again two very winnable games and it could cap off a fantastic year in terms of league form so far which has seen us lose only twice.

Chelsea in that five game period have: Newcastle, Arsenal, Bolton, West Ham and Everton. Looking at Chelsea's games, quite similar to ours, they would think they could possibly win all of theirs. United have: Villa, City, Sunderland, Spurs and Stoke. (The game against Wigan is canceled due to their FIFA World Club Championships). United on paper have the tougher of the fixtures in the same game/time span with Villa, City and Spurs all games away from home. They lose one of their games from that lot, thats one of their games in hand gone in terms of points value so its a massive couple of weeks for them as well it is for both ourselves and Chelsea.

this thread got me looking at the table...anyone seen Chelsea's away record? It's insane

won 7 out of 7, scored 19 and conceded 1

We have the 2nd best defence in the league behind Chelsea, just need to start scoring more..something Nando should definitely bring us

If we're serious about winning the league then those home games are must win and Blackburn's home form isn't exactly great at the moment so we should definately be looking to take maximum point from those games
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

Long may it continue. I just feat we're going to hit a dip at some stage. Chelsea are dangerous no doubt - would have won the Mancs double last year had their players been fit for the season. I hope they start dropping daft points at some stage - can see them beating Newcastle by 7!

I thought we hit a dip earlier, when we weren't playing well and still scraped the results...now we are playing better, and it's looking good...fingers crossed that we have our usual good second half to the season as well!!

Good point. My "dip" focused on results as opposed to form. Since we got the results despite playing poorly, there's no reason why we cannot continue to get results playing well - onwards and upwards - avante!
