Yeah. I only ever like players that get stuck in regardless or give 80 trillion percent. Never really phased by strikers, they come and go. Players like Dirky and Mascher are once every decade.
Hmmm. I know where you’re coming from but strikers like Torres in no way ‘come and go’. I also think Torres works every bit as hard as Kuyt.
Oh yeah and Kuyt is a striker.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
I think this is a myth, too – that Kuyt and Mascherano are clearly our hardest working players. They are not. Alonso works his ****ing bollocks and indeed covers more ground every game than Kuyt. It’s just that Xabi, as a Rolls Royce sort of footballer, is seen to be cruising around in possession of the football looking for an option to ping the ball to – whereas you never see Dirk or Masher doing that. You see them scurrying around getting in people’s faces so it creates this illusion. I’m obviously not denying they put in massive amounts of effort, but they are by no means the only ones.
As I’ve said, Torres works his bollocks off, Xabi does, Carra, Keane and others.

Haha you just wont give Dirk any credit will you?
RAFA! RAFAEL! RAFA! RAFAEL! RAFA! RAFAEL! RAFAEL BENITEZ!
Alonso runs more than Mascherano in every game. Mascherano is just a little more "bursty" and wins his tackles in a more impressive manner than Alonso who wins just as many balls without his arse touching the grass.

I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?
Alonso doesnt snap cunts in half like Mascher does - FACT, and he doesnt chase people down regardless how far they have to run to do it either. Therefore, he doesnt score as highly in the 'Midfield Glove-o-meter'.
Granted, Mascher doesnt pass the ball around like Alonso can. Each have thier merits but I prefer people who get stuck in over your fancy dan passy wassy nimby pimby kind of footballer.
Strikers do come and go. There are a fair few strikers out there that if Torres did go, they wouldnt be that bad a replacement (not that we'd get them but you take the point, people like Drogba etc are just as good). As for Dirky being a striker, yes, yes he is but he falls under the 80 trillion percent every game catergory which over rides the come and go-ness of strikers.
Bill Oddie, Bill Oddie, put your hands all over my body.

Fair point.
