yup, spot on, the likes of wigan, pompey and spurs picked up points when we really should have won those. Also, out of those 3 games we;ve lost arent they 2 to the scum and one to chelski?

Drawing a few games at home doesn't make it any less a fortress. It's more about going on long runs without losing. Last season, despite everyone going on about how many games we drew at home, we actually drew fewer home games (6) than Chelsea (7). The only difference in our home records was that we lost that 1 game against United.

It`s not impossible to get points at Stamford Bridge, and they will lose there sooner or later (hopefully very soon). But their run is impressive, and something other teams notice. I`m not sure they notice our run as much, yet.Originally posted by pondus View PostBut then again Stamford Bridge IS regarded as a fortress, and Spurs managed to get a point there this year (one of their two points).
My point is that everybody knows Anfield is a difficult place to play, but that they have a feeling they can get something there.Blank

5-0 win.
You could argue that 3+2 = 5 but it wouldn't get you very far
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I think the evidence is coming together. One key to me is that of late we have started getting the sort of decisions that in previous seasons have been given to United and Chelsea alone (this probably applies both home and away actually). We have now put in a long record of wins but unlike going to OT or Stamford Bridge it does appear that more teams are still willing to come and have a go at us like Wigan. While our form at Anfield is really good I think it is yet to become the place of fear for other teams that the term 'fortress' implies."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."
