OK I agree about Keane, but I think he will come good like everyone else. I mean it took Crouchy an eternity to find his scoring boots and he was even ridiculed in training for it - but he came good.

Also PSV are not **** they are just not playing well at the moment, but I would have expected them to match it with our 2nd string side.

We have finished top of our group and are currently sitting on top of the EPL. What more do you want man??? Were you spoilt as a kid?

        As do we all.

But we've had an excellent season so far.

really enjoyed that game. thought lucas had his best ever game for us. granted their midfield seemed non-existant but i thought lucas bossed everything especially in the second half. mixed it well, some lovely touches, cleaned up some messes at the back and got into really good advanced positions. pity he didn't score that from that chance.

riera's a smashing footballer. so many great touches.

keane's pass for n'gogs goal was sublime. why didn't n'gog celebrate with keane? bad form after that pass. keane played really well, made some bad decisions when he could've scored and seemed justified in wanting to strangle babel.

think n'gog is class and will be class. took his goal brilliantly and showed a deadly bit of skill for that shot that went over.

jay spearing made 2 fantastic passes and seemed very comfortable on the ball - just slotted in immediately and made things happen.

dossena and agger made mistakes. hate saying it but i'm unconvinced that agger is as good as we're making out. he's good on the ball and all that but he gets caught out a bit. same for dossena. both just might need more games.

babel is talented but i have a feeling that unless he becomes more of a team player, rafa will get rid of him. he loses the ball a lot and runs into blind alleys but he certainly is positive in terms of attacking.

Hull are a good side so I will be happy even if we get a scrappy 1-0 win

I think Rage should start supporting Barcelona...

Anyway, I thought all the goals were excellent and it shows we can be dangerous if we actually delivered some decent quality in the box.

Again we score a third when the opposition is tired. Obviously we are a very fit team.

In fairness to Keane I thought he took up some good positions and found space in the box, if the ball had been played to him he could have had a few chances.

Babel was probably the main culprit for this. I think he's a decent player (and had a good game tonight) I think he would be much better if he had more awareness of what's going on around him, so often when he has beaten a man in the box after coming in off the flanks and has a shot when a team mate is better placed, it's as if he gets carried away at times. Hopefully this aspect of his game will improve and he'll be a great player for us
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

dossena kept ****ing up defensively and them last gasp clearances won't work everyday. as for lucas - well he finally came up against a midfield more lightweight then he is.

babel meanwhile was majestic - what an equaliser and the way he harassed the opposition was what we need more of.

both ngog and riera scored really good goals but come on n'gog was crap all game and riera was missing for far too much of it.

if we draw anyone half decent and play the unimaginative disjointed football we've been doing so far we'll get beat easily.

just thought i'd come along and add some balance to this thread. and oh did anyone watch keane's post match interview? i'm so not worried about not scoring i'll just spend all my tim telling u i'm not worried about not scoring.

good to see the kids get some pitch time. seeing both darby and insua this season i really don't think we should have spunked the best part of 10 million on doseena and degen.
You havent added balance, not in the slightest. This post of yours makes me realise why people genuinely think you're a WUM.

The so-called 'positive' comments you make are actually thinly veiled criticisms and it's quite embarrassing really.

If it hadn't been for the goal, Babel would probably have been our worst player. I lost count of the times good moves broke down due to his bad decisions.

I thought all the players did a good job of harrassing the opposition when we didn't have the ball.

Right, the points I agree on.......

Yes PSV were rubbish, they are not the team that came top four yearsa in a row.

Robbie Keane is talking ****e, of course he's bothered about his goals tally (a good thing by the way). And yes he did moan to much for my liking. But rightly so I guess. Far to often dd Babel get the chance to play him CLEAN through and he opted to be selfish.

N'Gog? Yes he was ****e most of the game. He was asked to play a Peter Crouch role and he is obviously not strong enough. But the one proper chance he got he put away with aplomb - Mikey Owen style. Or Anelka if you like.

Riera did drift in and out. Hard to see what he was asked to do. The only times he did attack the full back he tended to skin them. Should have happened more often. Let's be frank, in the first half he was the only attacking player in an LFC shirt who looked like they could control the ball properly (front 4).

                              -----------------

As for Lucas? He got stuck in and showed the obvious brilliance he has. Should have capped a decent disply with a goal (take a bow Mr Keane). His talent is not in doubt, what is in doubt is the hunger and desire to take a good kicking and get on with it. More of the same or **** off too Spain or the likes. I know we would all prefer that he rolls up his sleeves and gets on with it. A very positive performance.

As for Dossena, I spotted a couple of errors, but I did in every player. The only time he ever got shown up was when he contributed to that attacking side of our team. On those occasions where you all moaned at him you should have noticed that he was on the attack.

The likes of you should make your mind up. Do you want attack minded players or ones who sit back? Bcause players who go forward WILL get cauht out at the back. It's all about taking risks.

                              --------------------------

Overall I think you made some very good observations, and I like your posts as it balanes out all the 100% we love Rafa ****e.

                              EDIT:

Yes I am drunk, but can not be bothered changing the obvious spelling mistakes

Did anyone notice who replaced Carra as captain? Of the players on the pitch, I'd of thought it would have been Agger or Mascher, but I didnt see the armband on either of them.
