That's ace.
Well Lucas will be playing on Wednesday against Chelsea so let's hope he raises his game above crap. It always makes me laugh when people describe any professional footballer as crap, let alone one who is playing at a high level at a top club.
Lucas will be a very important cog in the crushing machine for the rest of the season and I for one am looking forward to seeing him in a red shirt for many years to come.'Religion is killing each other over who has the best imaginary friend'

He cant be as bad as Jean michel ferri?Originally posted by ufc43 View PostSorry lads, but I have to say this lad is one of the poorest players I have seen in a Liverpool shirt for some time. In my opinion he has never played a good game for us yet Rafa keeps playing him, whether its from the start or as a sub. He is no where near good enough for Liverpool. Surely there are better options? What do you think?
he mite aswell have been lol

i dont mind lucas and he is a decent enough player, but personally dont think he contributes enough to a squad, if and its a big if spearing ( like what i see so far) could take his place and compliment to the english numbers as well._____________________________________

I think you miss the point of the words "supporter", "respect" and "intelligence".Originally posted by ufc43 View PostSorry lads, but I have to say this lad is one of the poorest players I have seen in a Liverpool shirt for some time. Rafa Benitez hails unsung stars Lucas & Andrea Dossena - Liverpool FC latest
Apr 7 2009 by Tony Barrett, Liverpool Echo
RAFA BENITEZ has hailed Lucas Leiva and Andrea Dossena as the unsung heroes of Liverpool’s charge for domestic and European glory.
The Reds boss is delighted with the impact the previously much maligned pair are having on his team as Liverpool go in search of a Premier League and Champions double.
Both Lucas and Dossena played prominent parts in Liverpool’s crucial 1-0 win at Fulham at the weekend and Benitez has backed the duo to keep their good form going just as it is needed most.
“My idea about Lucas has always been the same,” said Benitez.
“He is a good player and a good professional and he always looks to do his best for the team.
“Against Fulham he played really well and was working very hard and it was clear that he is now playing with more confidence.
“It is good for the fans to see someone like this because they know that he will keep on trying for the team and keep on working hard.
“With Dossena it is slightly different because we asked him to play in a different position for the good of the team at Fulham and he did a good job.
“We wanted someone to give the left hand side of midfield some energy and Dossena did that even though he is normally a left back and we were very pleased with him.
“He could maybe play there again in the future because he showed that he can do a good job.

Nonsense - why is he going to struggle? How can you say such a thing before a ball's been kicked? He was Brazilian Player of the year, is a member of the Brazil national squad following on in recent years from the likes of Tevez, Robinho and Kaka - and he's not up against Essien, Lampard and Mikel on his own. They'll have many more problems to cope with in addition to the "minor" one you've decided Lucas will offer.Originally posted by flyboy View Postchelsea are a diff team with essien and by the looks of it lucas is gonna struggle...physically i see all three of them lampard essien and mikel having minor problems dealing with lucas.lets just hope the lads up for it
Lucas was excellent against Man U and also against Fulham. It would be nice to see some of our alleged supporters actually supporting a young player who seems to be hitting his stride in the first team rather than mindlessly slagging him off. But I suppose now that Riise has gone and Kuyt is playing well the usual suspects need a whipping boy.

Excellent against Fulham? If you say so. Quite why people hail performances as excellent just because they weren't bad I don't know.Originally posted by Redspin View PostNonsense - why is he going to struggle?
