Not really a view born out by the numbers:

    Keane's spurs record (from wiki)

    Season Apps(PL) Goals
    2002–03 29 13
    2003–04 34 14
    2004–05 35 11
    2005–06 36 16
    2006–07 27 11
    2007–08 36 15

I agree though that he is dependent on making partnerships to be effective and he hasn't linked particularly well with any of our players as yet.

Yes, I saw that and thought exactly the same thing. What a tosser he has turned out to be.

He's obviously bitter that he couldnt cut it at a big club.

Sad, given that he's meant to be a Red.

Didn't see it, but out of context that's a phrase that could very different things.

Yes, it could mean he's got an accent.

However it could mean a manager who thinks along the same lines so you understand his decisions and actions etc.

Yep saw it and thought it was definetely an intended dig at Rafa, i was a big fan of Keane but i'm disappointed with a few comments he's made since he left us.

It was def a dig at Rafa.

He fluffed about 3 sitters today and then finally got on the scoresheet thanks to a penalty. Then after the match he said he's pleased because the players are responding to the manager in training and that it's good to have a manager that you understand.

****in tit. He's been a massive dissapointment. Its sickening to have to look back and wonder what could have been if we had spent the £20m elsewhere, or if he could have applied himself better. Keane and Babel have both had similar situations this season and its been our downfall. We should have had enough to get those 2 or 3 extra results

Yeah it was a dig at Rafa no doubt. He could easily just have said(about h.redknapp) "the manager's done a great job, players have responded well to him" etc but to say its great to have a manager that you can understand, after what happened between himself and Rafa made it pretty obvious.

With all due respect I think Keane was treated shabbily here so he has every right to be bitchy. I would be far worse in his shoes. In time he will realise hes just not good enough but at present hes still hurting.

At the end of the day he was given enough time to prove he was worth a place in our squad. I agree torres wasnt there to make the partnership everyone was looking for, but i still cant see how it would have worked.

Initially i thought, an experienced premiership player next to someone with unbelievable flair would be the best partnership you could ask for. But the only time i could see Keane scoring was either a volley played over the top of him, or when he had less than second to think about his finish. Otherwise he wasnt good enough.... by a long shot.

have to be honest and say that i thought the whole thing was further evidence of flaws in rafa as a manager and a deteriorating organisational situation at the club but we certainly didn't suffer from selling keane and now i think that rafa just saw something in keane that he knew was never going to change in a fairly egotistical 28 year old. who was basically forced on him anyway

Keane was, and still is, ****.

Rafa did well to get rid before his value absolutely plummeted.
