        Great result and fully deserved.

Scrappy at times and seeing the two teamsheets I really thought we were the better side so it was great to bang in a couple of goals. After Wigan I said this game could be the catalyst to another storming end to the season and by god we're going to need it so fingers crossed.

Hats off to Yossi for a game-changing cameo.

As an aside, has anyone ever seen anything of Mikel that impresses them? I don't really watch much of Chelsea but in games against us he always seems a lost soul.

I know you didn't mean it like that but he hasn't got any of them sent off has he. He's not conned the ref for any of them, and every single one - bar today's - was a legitimate red card. I keep hearing pathetically misguided Mancs going on about it but they fail to realise what I've just pointed out. Nothing lucky about it at all.

Pointed that out to a mate of mine too, Why do people make out he got these players sent off and make them out to be the victim, when that shows really that it's Alonso thats on the receiving end of the rough stuff
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

              I think he's utter turd.

I keep hearing/reading so called deep-thinkers on the game going on about what a talent he is, and how he's slotted seamlessly into Makelele's shoes. I think they do it so they can go "oooh, he does the stuff youR average clueless football fan doesn't notice, ooh my analysis is so insightful..."

Bull****. He's rubbish. The Mancs & Mr Ferguson dodged a bullet there. Could've been Djemba-Djemba mark II.

what was great about today was the fire in the players. Just before we scored i was thinking OK if we don't win this we've turned a corner, maybe a few games too late but we've turned that corner.

As for Xabi, so many bad injuries and caused by tackles
                Yes who's the 1st in the 50/50 a 40/60 its Xabi.

You know what - I used to love watching a certain Souness play and Xabi is the modern version and as tough as player as he was in my eye's.

Xabi is certainly way tougher and a more robust midfielder than many give him credit for. His tackling stats over the years demonstrate that. Although I wouldn't quite put him in the Souness bracket when it comes to hardness.

I know, from his position it looked a lot worse (directly behind Lampard) but having seen the replays, i do think a red could be conceived as harsh. I don't give a monkey's whether the ref saw it, it was my answer to someone earlier in the thread about Gullit's reaction to the red, the ref never came into it.

Agreed - possibly the best bit of business Ferguson ever did.

I thought maybe I was missing something as he seems to be in the team every week but I'm glad to see I'm not the only one.

He's a very talented player but in his position the majority comes down to experience. He's a long way of having the natural ability of Mascherano, but he will prove to be worth every penny of the £16m spent on him in future years. Very gifted player. Just not in Mascheranos league.
                        Forwards.......

Didn't the scum even get some money for him after his contract with them was cancelled?

as tough a player yes but person maybe not
What Souness would do off the ball is legendary.

50/50 tackles they are equal IMO.
                            controlling the game Souness
                            passion equal

as for the red was harsh IMO but the end result was right.

Yup. £12m. The transefer with them was agreed and signed first, for £4m. In the end Mikel said it was chelsea or no one, having changed his mind about joining them.

It was heading to the courts, but Chelsea agreed to pay his club Lyn Oslo £4m and also £12m to the Mancs.

When we win it's the players, when we lose it's the managers. Typical

I'm delighted with the result, not sure why I'm posting on here with fans undeserving of such a win. When one thing goes wrong everythings fallen to pieces.

Great game, great result. Happy days. 2 points off, we can beat the scum.

Well in RAFA and the team.
