Exactly, except for.. so he believes, 'Baldermart', he is saying, i think, with his quote of "I won't say too much at this stage as I don't want to taint the outcome of the poll", that he knows the real reason why Keane left, well i think he is anyway, i took that to be his implication.

Unless he just thinks that his opinion with no is enough to influence other posters thoughts/votes on this.

He was never going to fit into the system that rafa like he will never fill gerrards boots and he would never have filled Torres boots it's just unfortunate that we couldnt accomadate him as a replacement so obvoiusly he wasnt happy being 2nd choice, but unlike other teams we cant carry £20m subs not while we are in the finacial state we are at present anyway.but it's one thing keeping a £20m benchwarmer there's another thing if he aint happy .So we move on

this bull **** about keane didn't perform !!!!!!!! When was the last time kuyt or babel performed? Robbie was a scapegoat for rafa in his bull**** war with the world! Shut up rafa, play yourbest side and let your winning do the talking for a change! Get back to the old Liverpool way ! Best of luck robbie, I hope we have a winners medal for you in may, because if that waste of space Lucas deserves one, you surely do ! Ynwa !

I have said along, perhaps not as much on here but certainly to my Manc mate ... he was not Rafa's purchase, perhaps as some have suggested with Barry also in the picture he would have slotted in better. But there is not way he will dislonge Torres or Stevie in there respective roles ... he can't play on the wing so it never looked good ... he probally knew this and his confidence suffered .. and when that goes .. Robbie becomes very very ordinary ... Buzzing .. he is one of the best strikers in the world

I have over the moon we managed to offload him back to Spurs ... his value would have fallen through the floor in the summer

the comments that Rafa made are interesting in the fact that everyone was talkiing about him before and after the game even if he didn't play.
Noticable that our best performance for a while was when he was in the stands.
Not saying he was causing problems but his situation might off.
We had to sell him now as come summer we'd off lost a lot more than 3M and in fact could of lost any chance of the PL.

Can't see he was a Rafa signing unless Rafa was going to try him along side Stevie, play him out of position or behind Torres and and in that role it just shows how good Stevie is there.
and the fact he didn't shine in any position if Spurs came in begging for him back, its best to cut your losses.
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

I've heard rumours that his Missus never moved from London and it was casuing difficulties between the pair.

Could explain the poor form, attitude etc

It would appear from the poll results that the vast majority of us here think that there is more to the sale of Keane than has been admitted by Rafa and the official statement.

The media are having a ****ing field day with it, but then that's to be expected.

i dont for one second think it was performance related.

why did rafa keep dropping him when he was finally finding his feet ? He got seven goals in 20 ish games - which isnt bad for someone who doesnt play all the games.

rafa can say whatever he wants but his explanation is not for me.

                          I agree entirely.

Rafa likes to talk about the 'facts' as he said during his outburst recently, so let's do just that.

                          1. Rafa has said recently that 'the club' spent money on Keane. To me that's Rafa's way of using the media, once again, to let folks know that the fact that Keane's purchase hasn't worked out is not his fault and that it was not his choice.

                          2. Rafa has always given his purchases time to settle and bed in. Just think of some of the dross that has had regular starts and at least a season under Rafa. Nunez, Josemi, Dossena etc etc etc. Hell, even the one man defensive disaster zone that was Pellegrino had a fair few starts and he was shocking. Crouch and Kuyt had plenty of support and yet Keane gets 6 months?

                          3. Keane never really had a chance to settle did he? How many times was he dragged off early? Or not even started. Or after scoring a few goals, benched for the next game. Now everybody knows how strikers thrive off confidence, so it's hardly going to do him the world of good when he's dropped or pulled off early constantly. That's hardly the way to settle a new striker into the team. It's certainly not the treatment that Crouch and Kuyt have had.

                          4. Babel. He's been awful this season, yet even after 18 months of support and patience, I don't see Rafa trying to push him out of the door.

For those posters who feel that there is nothing going on behind the scenes and that it was purely a footballing decision, surely this has to go down as a massive transfer cock up by Rafa. A £20 mill transfer which did not deliver, we made a loss on, we didn't really give a chance and one that has also left us inadequately covered for the run in.

Sorry, i'll speak slowly too so you can keep up. Are you with this statement.."I won't say too much at this stage as I don't want to taint the outcome of the poll". saying you think you know the reason he left ?, because that's what it sound's like.

Sorry if your English is so poor as to not recognise the language, hope this was easier for you.

I think anybody with a fairly rudimentary grasp of the English language would see from your posts in this thread that your use of grammar is below the level of most teenagers. I can only assume you're not from England. Or possibly a particularly slow teenager. Maybe your keyboard has a mind of it's own.

Now, to the matter at hand, my challenged little friend. The comment was posted to make clear to those of us who understand English, that in no way, shape or form was I going to attempt to influence anybody's opinion, and hence, the outcome of the poll. I'm not saying for a moment that my powers of persuasion are that effective, but I didn't want anybody of your intellectual ilk to somehow put two and two together and come up with three, and imply that my initial post was going to affect the outcome and validity of the poll.

Now, if that's not clear enough for you, try this link first, then get back to me.
