The tone of his reply is that of someone interesting is being bombastic rather than presenting facts. Even if his twisted version of the truth were to be correct, it would be presented by any reasonable person in a more sombre, regretful tone.

No one can ever say that all LFC fans are and have been angels. We, like every other club, have plenty of morons who will get up to stuff that is not appropriate.
