Kevin Sheedy - me, I'd have kept him, but then my managerial credentials are marginally less impressive than Bob Paisley's, so I'm prepared to let it slide.

David Hodgson - distinguished chiefly by his effortless wedge and a 'tash you could lose a baguette in.

Oyvind Leonhardsen - literally, Norwegian for 'not that good'

Larry Lloyd - fat and nasty.
    Screaming from beneath the waves...

I always forget we have Degen

          Also Jean Michel Ferri
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Seeing Bolo Zenden last night got me thinking. It wasn’t long ago that was a Liverpool player yet it seems like distant memory and I can barely accept that he once played for us. Seems really weird that Zenden once played for us. For what it’s worth I thought he was ****. Lovely bloke, great for the squad with all those languages he speaks, but a **** player for us.

That’s not really the point of the thread though. What players do you find it difficult to imagine/remember playing for us?

Great goal in Leverkusen though. What a 'nearly' night that was

                  Wasn't that goal disallowed?

Aye wasn't it a spectacular overhead kick that was deemed not to have crossed the line?
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Yep, overhead kick that would've made his LFC career - but ruled out

oh yeah haha. Oops. It was Owen who got our goal that day, I remember now I was at that game with one of the families of a Sunderland player, my mate knew him and blagged us tickets. Can't remember his name now, he ended up at Ipswich at one point

Markus Babbel - fantastic player, short career with us.

Dare i say Michael Owen........one of the best we had the last 20 years but when you see what he's gone through since he left he's become a forgotten man. Nevertheless a legend in my book

                                Pellegrino

Can't believe the bloke on our bench is the same guy
Sack swinging like Dub-D40 on a door hinge
