Alonso gone - Who cares?!
I couldn't give a monkeys that he has gone.
Consistently under performing player who only ever hit his "pick out a white-robed monk on the lower foothills of the Himalaya's" passes in around 35-40% of games and the remainder of his passing was wayward or negative.
We've just got the 7th or 8th biggest fee in football history for a player about to turn 28 and replaced him with a superb young Italian with a great range of game and £12m+ change.
We've pulled a blinder here.

A bit strong maybe, Alonso is a very good player but not irreplaceable and yes Rafa may well have done some outstanding buisiness.Originally posted by Chewbacca View PostI couldn't give a monkeys that he has gone.

I couldn't disagree more. Xabi was (is) a great player, well liked and respected by his team-mates. Both Gerrard and Carragher rate him very highly as a player and person and said so in their books. Your comments are more suited for the likes of Bellamy and Pennant. For most Liverpool fans, Xabi will hold special memories, not just for Istanbul, he will be missed.Originally posted by Chewbacca View PostI couldn't give a monkeys that he has gone.

Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.

That's a bit harsh mate concidering what he has given to the Club in terms of stability in midfield.Originally posted by Chewbacca View PostI couldn't give a monkeys that he has gone.

Remember, Alonso was initially bought to replace SG so given thye fact he formed a perfect relationship (in terms of football i might add
) with Masher to make a solid defensive midfield and to put in some really eye catching displays and goals, he's really not done so bad IMO, and to command a high fee such as Rafa did, he must of done something right whilst here eh bud

It is right to look forward, not backwards, but you are being a bit disrespectful to a dam decent player who did well for us.Originally posted by Chewbacca View PostI couldn't give a monkeys that he has gone.
