Yeah it was pretty clear he wanted to leave but i don't think there's any doubt he leaves Liverpool with a heavy heart.
Out of all Rafa's buys, Alonso had a real bond with the club and its fans.
I'm sure he'll have a great time in his native country but i also think he'll miss playing for Liverpool.

Sure he will. Real's supporters are dull, thick and racist *******s too.

Mate, he was crying about his wages going down due to tax laws and now all of a sudden puts in a transfer request and ****s off. I doubt he really gives a **** in fairness. But he is a footballer so we have to accept that.

He wont care about leaving until he realises what he's let himself in for. If it all goes wrong no doubt he'll regret leaving.
        Forwards.......

Yep, they're a bunch of spoilt, horrible cunts that show there team **** all respect.
I hope Barca destroy them and win la liga by a country mile. At least they're a club with a bit of class.

Well said Marky. And they're fascists too.

Neither teams support have any real class about them. I like Barca but most of the stuff wrote about them is bull.

If the team are not winning, and winning in style, they will be jeered and booed. And it doesn't take long for the fans to turn. And despite the stadiums being massive the atmosphere can be really empty at times as they treat a football game like going to the theatre. They pay their money and they expect to be entertained. That applys to both clubs.

If our fans acted like those at either Barca or Real I'd be disgusted and ashamed. Thankfully our supporters only lose their heads once in a blue moon. Our support is thankfully unconditional in most circumstances.

We're all hoping the same on this one. I'd be delirious with joy if Rafa somehow managed to just bring in Villa or Aguero instead. Cant see that though. Again hoping to be wrong. But for it to happen twice, is asking a lot
It is indeed true for us all. I don't know where on this thread I 'heard' you saying something different to what you meant though.

I understand your disappointment but hoping for the best is not an unequivocal sign of a weak and irrational mind.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Aye. Really fell out of love with him then. That, coupled with the timing of his leaving us when we are so close & the fact he's gone to Real with the other cunts means I certainly wont be wishing him well or greeting him warmyl if he returns.
                  3rd place. Worst champions ever.

£30m for Xabi Alonso is a hell of a lot of money by the way, fair play to us for getting that much
With the financial puddle that we're in, who's to say that the 30m will go into rafa's transfer kitty? we may not get the full amount to spend.

Well it's been well documented. I can look for newspaper articles and link it back if you want. Obviously not "all of them" are like that but you get the gist.

Good old newspaper articles. Always spot on, they are

If you used newspaper articles for forming opinions, you'd probably conclude that people in the UK are fraudsters, muggers, abusers and the like. Maybe stuff in newspapers is the extreme case scenario? Because it's more newsworthy.

I base my view on Madrid fans on having met a load of them in Madrid last February. Take as you find, it's better that way.
