To me it seems like Xabi has acted professionally and stepped aside to let us negotiate on our own terms. Hopefully, long term, we'll see this as good business. It's dragged on long enough and in the end, there's not much point in having a player who's heart isn't 100% in it.

    Good luck to him.

      I think we do.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Hope so mate, really hope so.

THey wont be getting the benefit of a preseason anyways.
            3rd place. Worst champions ever.

You should give Rafa more credit. I dont think this situation was particularly a surprise to him. He's bound to have a few aces up his sleeve........... Whether they work out or not is different story.

                If they're 'aces', they'll work.

                  .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Mate, I think Rafa is an amazing manager & man, but even if he is the best man to limit the damage, it doesnt mean that we will be as well, or better off.

                      Agree

To me thats the sickening aspect to all this. I just honestly hate Christiano Ronaldo - for everything he is and stands for - An Arrogant T W A T!

I'd smack him in a moment... he makes out he's some fu ck ing hard nut...
                      the thing is...

You go to smack him and your fist would glide effortlessly as he's so greased up with Hawaiian Tropic Sun Tan Oil!

                      Fuc king Knob!

And thats why I now.... have to dislike Alonso.

Hmmmm would love us to get to the Champs League final and it be us vs them!

Would be so good... we'd turn them over... but my gut feeling is... this will be an expensie waste of Madrid money... Perez (what a dick!)

Rant over... feel much better for that!!

Clearly not, no matter how you look at this its a step back. But as far as i can see we had little other option, we've managed to make the most out of a bad situation. Now we just need to deal with it......Onwards and upwards and all that.

It was bound to happen, now I just hope to god we will get a good replacement and we have been linked with a few that should be capable.

We could also slightly change our style with a new buy to someone a bit more dangerous forward going.

But all the best to Xabi he has given us some very good memories over the years.

It's what you basically always put across. Intentionally or otherwise.

I wonder how Gareth Barry is feeling today?

Actually he's probably not arsed, he'll swimming in his pool of money Scrooge McDuck style
