Yossie has to start every game IMO.
I heard Lauren was a bit of a disappointment... Keeley is much better choice

That being said, I'd like to see him in the squad, simply because I don't see Ngog ever making an impact, and we need someone with pace available to play up front if Torres isn't fit.

Babel could be an important contributor for us. I'm not saying it's likely...a lot of things would have to go right. But I don't see Ngog doing it at all, sorry to say. If anything, it would at least increase Babel's value on the transfer market for him to get a few appearances under his belt. On the other hand, it could backfire...
I don't see any worth in Babel whatsoever, he's the laziest ******* to ever play for us. I just can't understand why anybody is even trying to make excuses for him or somehow try to justify why he might be considered a useful option?! I'd rather play the tea lady than waste a shirt on Babel.

He has in the past shown himself to be a useful impact sub. I'm far from his biggest fan but he hasn't been universally useless for us and we do lack pacy, dangerous attacking options from the bench and at times he has looked like he could solve that problem. He has often been poor when started but his record as a sub is decent enough.

Goals off the bench against Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea would give good evidence to back up this post.

Our squad is thin enough without letting a player leave on loan. Everyone knows what Babel is capable of and what he needs to do. And in all fairness to both the Liverpool and Dutch squads, if Ryan Babel can not play his way into Rafa Benitezs 18 man squad he is not good enough to make the Dutch squad for the World Cup.
          Forwards.......

And a good cameo of the bench today to win the game for Liverpool is exactly why Babel should be on the bench, and not loaned out (sorry Ryan).

Did well off the bench in the past and needs to slowly drag himself back to that level. After that he may then think about fighting for a starters position. But a VERY long way to go.

He looks so much better and more confident on the right hand side.

He just has the option of going on the outside, meaning he is less likely to run into traffic. Come inside against a packed defence and a player will run into trouble.

I've been saying it for two years but he needs to work on his left foot to keep defenders guessing.

Seen as he plays best by coming off the bench, maybe if he has a bench permanently attached to him he might play better from the start.

That a joke, or are you making a point?

Either way, he won us the game today with his cameo as we looked to be running out of ideas and struggling on the right when dealing with Hines and Illunga.

                        I'm being serious!

Nah he played ok today, he is a far better player on the right though and when he comes off the bench. He just needs to sort himself out in the head.

To be fair to him (and not forgetting that he is my least favourite Liverpool player EVER), he has actually looked arsed during the last two games. I hope he keeps it up and I don't mean like he did against Debrecen.

Yknow, everytime I see replays of his cross today it gets better and better. Sublime.

He's got a long way to go. He had a good first season and then regressed, but if he can sort himself out, recapture his first seasons form and play like he has in the last two games, then he could make it here. The boy is in contract for the next few years so it's not too late for him to turn it around.

                                Agree with you Lee,

He looked like he wanted to prove a point today.......(and so he should!!), when we signed him, i remember looking at his footage on youtube, i thought he was the final piece in the jigsaw.......

I hate criticising our players, but i think it is a fair comment to say, i can't think of too much footage that could be posted on youtube of him in our jersey. (Agree / Disagree?)

Hope he makes it though, on his day he looks the part.
