Xabi Alonso: Don't blame me for reds poor start

He said: "Liverpool's bad beginning in three matches is not normal but I believe my exit has not been that decisive.

"Players are not that indispensable and these are only the first moments of the season. I am convinced the team will recover."

I could. However sour it ended he gave me some fantastic memories and I'll remember him fondly.

        Agreed.

I don't dislike Xabi by any means but I couldn't give 2 ****s about him now. He's a Madrid player who wanted to leave Liverpool. Thanks for your effort when you were a Liverpool player Xabi lad but I hope you win **** all.

Not really bothered as to what he's saying, but more baffling is the minor adulation

He put in a transfer request, he wanted to go, remember?
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

Yeah good point. One player is more important than the team after all.........

No-one's saying that at all. But he was unhappy and put in a transfer request. It's not like he moved to the scum and talked about it to the scum.

I'm quite happy to keep my positive memories, he's done nothing to piss on 'em.

So what? I support Liverpool Football Club not Xabi Alonso.

He was a Liverpool player and it's the clubs right to sell the payer if they see fit. They have paid for his services they decide if the players future. It's how football works. Xabi handed in a transfer request this summer when he was under contract at Liverpool and we sold him. He now plays for another club so although I hope he stay's healthy he is now someone (along with all the other Madrid players) who I hope we kick **** out of should we play Madrid in the CL. I am grateful for the memories and all that but he's gone and I support Liverpool and he didn't want to play for us so I couldn't givea **** about what he has to say.

I wonder if Xabi would have wanted to join Real if the events of last summer never happened.

Personally I think he still would have wanted to go - at his age, going back to his country to play for the [Fredo]biggest club in Spain[/Fredo] it would have been the right move in his career.

sorry but it seems you have developed a hatred for alonso because he asked to leave...i wonder if your opinion would be different had rafa sold him rather than the other way round?

You seem to forget Rafa was forcing him out of the club before the start of last season

No-one hates Alonso some just don't hold him in as high regard as say someone like Sami who devoted nearly all his career to Liverpool. I'm sure everyone wishes Xabi well but he's a Madrid player now he's got nothing to do with Liverpool, he was desperate to get out and some support the club not indvidual players.
