Thanjk you.

He's pretty slow and quite short and those are two things which wont improve with age.
Amen brother.

Is the consensus that he did better yesterday than he has recently?
Well his contribution for our goal was certainly excellent. I thought he was solid enough but it was "only" Wolves who showed minimal ambition going forward.
That said it was his and Johnson's forraging down the wings that makes the extra space in breaking down a stubborn defence.
The turn, run and cross for the goal were superb - particularly the cross.

I'm unsure about insua
To be fair though Not many full backs are blessed with height but if he can deliver crosses like he did on saturday at regular intervals I will be more than happy, he just needs to work more on his awareness when defending which will def come with age

I was down by the touchline and on Insua's side for the 2nd half. He did some brilliant work to create the opening goal and looked determined. BUT like the rest of the team he didn't get going until we had the man advantage. I just don't agree with player 2 defensive players down the left. If aurelio is only playing their to protect Insua then thats a small team negative attitude. If Insua is good enough then play a proper winger infront of him

yeah it seems that way, even when he came off Kuyt stayed on the left instead of swapping with Yossi.

I'm not sure having a 'proper winger', ie one that has pace, a cross and stays out wide is what is needed with an attacking fullback behind them
IMO, the purpose of Johnson, for example, is to provide the width of a typical winger, yet be able to defend adequately enough also. So, with that in mind, I think the player in front of him has to be less of a typical winger, and more of an attacking midfielder if that makes sense.
So I think that as opposed to putting a defensive player in front if Insua, Rafa put a skillful intelligent player there in Aurelio. Course this is somewhat square pegs etc, but we don't have anyone else for the role at the minute, given that Benny was on the right.
But I agree with you in the main, especially that Insua (or whomever) should be good enough to play as the attacking fullback without the need for protection in front of him
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

He will be a 20 million pound plus player by the end of next season, extremely solid defender and definitely one of the first names on the team sheet next season. Great maturity, strength and composure for such a young player, potentially worldclass if you ask me ... must be taller than Evra as well ,, certainly looks better built

Nicey = Paul Tomkins!
That is some statement you are making there. He is a tidy defender not solid enough yet and I wouldn't class him in the 20 mio bracket. Very few defenders are that expensive not unless you are English.
