They were technically much better, played a quick tempo pressing game, our technically inept centre backs and defensive midfielders couldn't cope. That Jovatic is a real top prospect.
    We come not to play.

We were crap, we played ****e, but all this "lacking class to win the tournament" and now listing a load of teams who arent better than us is a stupid overreaction.

it's just my opinion mate..all the previous seasons, i had a very good feeling when going into the CL that we have a chance of winning it, this year i just don't have that feeling..contrary to the premiership where i think we'll do very well

You also seem to be forgetting we were without 2 of our "classiest" players, and Masch. Though Aquilani is unknown still he's clearly got this technique you crave.

i did say "in our current lineup" in the first post, as i know we have players coming back, with this i mean Aquilani, as i don't know how much we can rely on Agger to be fit for the whole season, and i don't think a defender can solve our midfield problem - that being "lack of class"

With the way we're defending at the minute i can see us getting properly ****ed over at the Bridge.

Sometimes **** doesn't work out. So now we've got a much spicier set of matches with Lyon in a few weeks sandwiched with the Scum. Bring it on!

                  Were we really that poor?

I wasn't able to see the match as I had to go to a play.

Torrard were unlucky in the second half. They could easily have nicked a draw out of this.

First half was ****in embarrassing but we did much better after the break, without getting any breaks though.

Still fancy us to do well on Sunday.

Yep, you need a break after the break if you not had a break before the break...

But we never got a break after the much needed break which preceded a half where they seemed to (deservedly) get the breaks.

Decent, but not worth the hype I think.

He took that first chance well, and showed some good skill and flicks, but that 2nd goal was a bit of a chancer.

Surely it should be 98 not 89?
