As for Aquiliani i have never sen him play so don't know how good he is. Just that a direct replacement for Alonso should have been priority. If not play gerrard in the middle were he excelled for years.
Rafa's idea is for Aquilani to play between Gerrard and Mascher, as opposed to nest to Mascher like Lucas does. As a link to the attack it could well work for us. It was his idea to do that with Barry too.

It doesn't really matter how many games you lose, its all to do with how many points we drop. ManU have only lost 1 game, yet they have dropped 5 points. As last season proved, draws are very costly

If we got 7 wins out of our first 10 games it would be a reasonable start. We aint started so well, but we are still on the coat-tails of the leaders. We will get better as the season progresses.

Under Rafa we have always been stronger in the 2nd half of the season.

          Agree with this

I dont think the title is over yet because chelsea will lose drogba, essien, kalou and mikel for the african nations.

Arsenal always flatter to deceive and united look out of sorts without ronaldo. We're all suffering but the lucas thing hasnt worked out and another way to look at it is that we've only lost 4 games with him in the side.

Rafa got it wrong today and he has done on many days. He is stubborn and it will cost him and us dear.
Sorry mate but I disagree entirely. His tactics were spot on agaisnt a very good Chelsea side. We had few chances, as did Chelsea.

Whoever got the first goal was going to go on and win, bar an error on the other sides part to let them back in it.

It would be nice to go all out attack against Chelsea, but do that gaianst a top team and you get done. Chelsea played the game in the same manner, hence a pretty dull game until the first goal.

Torres had the best chance of the game prior to the first goal. After the goal we had chances to score and didn't take them.

I thought we played reasonably well to a point - number of points that were frustrating though, Carra getting caught on both goals, Masch losing out to fat Frank, Johnson's lack of willingness to get forward (Even in the final 10 mins when the space was there to be exploited), Torres' two glorious opportunites, general lack of creativity up the field until Benayoun came on.

We were never under any severe pressure during the game but only started to pressure Chelsea after they were ahead, mainly due the counter attack tactics. Torres puts us ahead with that header and its a totally different game.

Drogba is an absolutely cheating Cnut too.

If you sit back against a very good team you are asking for trouble. Its only a matter of time before they will find a key to the door. Riera was terrible, Johnson looked reluctant to move forward and lucas and masher couldnt get the ball to gerrard.

Gerrard couldnt link up with torres and therefore influence the game and tactically we got it wrong.

as i mentioned before the league has a long way to go think it will go right down to the wire this year and the team that wins it, may lose 5 games.

We are still right in the mix with Agger and aquiliani to come in..

Today he could not abandon his defensive duties due to Chelseas best attacks coming from the full backs bombing forward.

Also Ashley Cole didn't bomb forward as otherwise he would get done by Johnson going forward.

We have not looked good against any decent team we have played so far. We need a scalp of a good team soonish.

really? 7points behind and 28 games to go i wouldnt see any reason to throw in the towel when no team has set the premiership alight this year

agree with this, the 2 best offensive full backs were always going to cancel each other out.....too scared of being caught out.
