He seems to be getting very desperate lately, making a lot of excuses and talking a lot to the media
"If you analyse the games, two late goals against Lyon were a massive difference."
"You have the first half against Fiorentina and the two late goals but that's football and sometimes you can't control things. We had chances in all of the games - we could have won all of them.
2 late goals? Do they not count then, or are late goals now flukes?
"We could have won all of them", is he for real? Yes, had we scored more goals than the opposition in all of the games, yes, we could have won all of them...
He's starting to sound like a crazy man, full of excuses.
Everton and Blackburn away next. They all seem like hard games these days.Last edited by FatTony; 25-11-09, 01:09 AM.
"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."
I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

He was not complaining when we were scoring late goals in games at the start of the season last year.Originally posted by FatTony View PostHe seems to be getting very desperate lately, making a lot of excuses and talking a lot to the media

Considering we can't keep clean sheets, can you blame him?Originally posted by Operation View PostTwo defensive midfielders, at home, time after time. That can't be explained simply by aquilani being injured. This is why my faith in Rafa less than 100%.

I'm behind him but he needs to motivate the team and show us that he's the manager to take us forwards.
The players look lost too much of the time. Injuries are killing us and any stopping any consistancy building, so Rafa needs to provide the motivation and the one to look to to show them they can do it.

Is he not just saying that the margins are fine and that the necessary improvements are achievable without radical changes? I think people like to blow these things out of all proportion.Originally posted by 112 View PostHe was not complaining when we were scoring late goals in games at the start of the season last year.
