    1) Great save reina
    2) Masher was immense
    3) Insua played well
    4) Gerrard was barely at 25%, strange he stayed on the full 90
    5) kuyt scored, law of averages and all that. he was still **** but **** and scoring the clinching goal is a damn sight easier to cope with than the usual.
    6) Johnson is quality
    7) great to have agger in there
    8) top class from carra
    9) ngog is looking better each game
    10) lucas plodded along. miles better player than last season.
    11) reira adds balance
    12) Benni is the most skilful player at the club
    13) we had two centre backs on the bench, one is ****ing terrible and other is greek
    14) what does pelligrino do? apart from sit as close to rafa as is possible without sitting on his lap?
    15) get the **** in. a win's a win.

I didn't get to watch the whole match, there was one moment at a free-kick or corner where fellanyoh and cahill almost scored, luckily for us reina was on top form.
how did we let those two cunts to get to the ball?pisses me off when i see that.

If Arsenal win today we'll be 10 points behind. Probably insurmountable, but Chelsea will have a rough January. Arsenal wil implode at some point, Man Utd don't look anywhere near as strong as usual. Tottenham have got collective nose-bleeds and it won't be long before their manager is in prison. As for City - ****in circus. We're on the rise - recoveries never start with playing well but always start with results when the team is not playing so well. 5 unbeaten now. A lot of damage done, but we'll kick on from here in my opinion.

Oh yeh, and Villa are managed by O'Neill who will play any talented player he has into the ground.
          Really?

Not a vintage display but we got the three points so that’s the main thing. Hopefully it should restore a bit of confidence too. Aurelio and Gerrard were completely anonymous, but Gerrard’s presence has such a psychological affect on both us and the opposition that he’s undroppable.

N’Gog did well again and we look so more assured with Agger at the back. Reina, despite a couple of dodgy moments, also made some crucial saves. One of the biggest positives was the bench – nice to finally see some class there and let’s make sure we push on and build on this result. We were able to bring on Benny and Reira and still had good options. Can’t wait till Torres is back and N’Gog can provide some class on the bench too.

Only two points away from the CL positions with all our injured players coming back (fingers crossed)! Who knows, we might even see Aquilani soon! And nice to see us finally get a slice of the luck pie. Finally something to smile about.

                3 points thank ****.

Big credit to our back 5, especially Reina.

Special mention for Mascherano- Supposedly he doesn't want to go to Spain yet he is fighting for everything and its great to see. He was our best player against Debrecen, never stopped battling and it was the same again today. He is fighting for the cause and its brilliant to see

Great result but also a bit worrying that we allow them to play ball like that in our half for so long. Reina was immense, as was Carra and Mascherano. Totally agreed with the subs today, N'gog was tired when he went off. Happy

We was lucky today under pressure for most of the game but thats just what we needed as mentioned earlier a manc type of win Lucas was awesome today Stevie was pants but I couldn't give 2 flying ****s , 5 games unbeaten 2 clean sheets on the bounce it's all good . bit gutted to hear Rafa say that Torres still felt some pain, Still? maybe an operation is what he needed he would only have been out for 4 weeks

I don't know what to say. We were ****ing useless for the most part. People said I was over reacting in the match thread, I was not. Being more of a defender myself I can say that it was a brave performance under pressure by the lads at the back. Carragher MOTM was fully justified - it is the type of game he will always shine in no matter how good his form in. Backs to the wall is Carras speciality.

But we lsot the midfield and could not keep the ball. Everton slowed towards the end and finally gave up the ghost when we scored a second. But for the most part Liverpool were all over the place. A 2-0 scoreline does not come even close to telling the story of that game.

But it is a derby and only the final result matters. Had it been another game I would have been concerned by the performance. We were abyslmal for the most part. Let's get it straight, we were not playing Chlesea or Barcelona, we were playing a team in worse form than us.

Had the luck been against us today we could have conceded a hatfull.

Oh, and I see Reina getting calls for MOTM. IMO he only contributed greatly on on eoccasion - the double save. That's all it takes I guess but he was far from amazing. Spilling the shot through his legs could easily have ended up in a goal.

But the players were well below the size of the Everton players and kept a clean sheet. They have to be thanked for that. A good platform for us to build on.

                          Great result, average performance.

MOM has to be Reina, which sums it up really.

Gerrard still not looking right, can't be anywhere near 100% at the moment.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

Let's get it straight here. There is no team in the premier league that looks hugely impressive to me. If we had the Liverpool that finished the season last year the league would not be over. But we look a long way from playing like that at present.

We looked more balanced once Yossi and Reira were on the pitch

So this is how it feels to be ManU fan, team playing quit poorly but nodding two goals and win the the game.
