as i have said in either this thread or another thread.

1. due to the physical nature of the derby it was unlikely that he would play
2. as most foreign players have to adapt to play in the prem he will need time to get used to it, i assume that introducing him into a losing team thats low in confidence could hamper his development.

if we had been winning regularly he probably would have featured more by now. also due to the tight nature of some games recently rafa didnt want to risk it.

Oh, and I'm with Pete on this one. The manager and staff will know best what is the right games to give him match fitness. He has been brought back too early before and then been injured again. Hopefully they find it fitting for him to play some part against Blackburn and Fiorentina.
