I bet Stoke are rubbing there hands at the thought of the game on Saturday. I think that could be the worst possible game for us to play in after tonight. Especially if there is no Torres & Gerrard. They will be right in our faces from the kick-off.

I thought Agger and Aquilani were the only ones who had a decent game, at least for the first 91 minutes.Originally posted by lucas View PostRafa won't be sacked simply because we couldn't afford to. How about turning the tables and sacking some of the players? I'd start with Kuyt, Insua, Babel, Lucas, N'gog, possibly even Aqualani - he just doesn't look like he is going to be a good enough player for us.

They're all his signings so he should take the flack for buying them.Originally posted by lucas View PostRafa won't be sacked simply because we couldn't afford to. 1. Mourinho is one of the best motivators of playersOriginally posted by Spanishfly View Post1. Any change would do that...
2. With what players?
3. Riera injured, Bena, kuyt likes to come in, our genuine wide players are all out/just been bought.
2. I believe that was have quality attacking players - the problem is that Rafa's tactics are putting shackles on them all. I think Benayoun, Babel and Riera could be really impressive in a good attacking team.
3. The fact that we have no width is Rafa's fault - you can't overlook that.

he made his name with this bottom of the table team which he led to some kind of spectacular league finish. He knows how to win leagues alright and im sure we would be a lot closer if he was given a £50m budget.Originally posted by Parr_Zee View PostYeah that Porto team that he won the Champions League with was clearly the most expensive squad ever assembled.
The thing in rafa's favour is the youth set up. It finally looks right after years of tossing about and his coaching set up is first class and if that gives us some decent players over the next few seasons then in some ways his battle for control will be vindicated.
However, it still doesnt excuse the current state of our team.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

Lucas is a good player at the best of times but not good enough to play for Liverpool.Originally posted by liverpooltj View PostYeah ****ing Babel come on and did **** all but run into trouble and lose the ball. Kuyt is **** and lucas ****ing lucas makes Sean dundee look like a world class signing.Jellyfish are 97% water or something, so how much are they doing? Just give them another 3% and make them water. It's more useful

1: I'll take your word for that, personally I've never seen it. A winning team is self motivating...Originally posted by Parr_Zee View Post1. Mourinho is one of the best motivators of players

2: he has but unfortunetly there injured. Riera, Maxi, Degan, Johnson were all bought as wide players.
3: Rafa should have bought players that don't get injured?

I agree but I don't think he will be sacked purely because of the money. Besides do you think the Americans would have the ability to get a better manager in?Originally posted by Joey Jones View PostThey're all his signings so he should take the flack for buying them.Jellyfish are 97% water or something, so how much are they doing?
