This is honestly the first time I have the feeling that Rafa will never win the PL for us, and that we badly need to see some change, if not sooner, then at least by the end of the season.

And even Rafa looks like someone that has almost given up, or at least don't know what to do differently.

This morning I am sorta thinking whether it would be worth just giving up on the rest of this season, and just give our best prospects a run in the first team for half a season, thoughning them for next.

Players like Pacheo, Dalla Valle, Ayala, Kelly perhaps a few others. It would bring in some spirit and a handfull of players that have everything to play for. And next season we would have a few stronger players for our first team, and perhaps have an stronger spine of players in the team.

Nope sorry it was aimed at the initial poster.

If I was Rafa I'd leave this club and forfeit the money. He's bigger than this bunch of overrated footballers that are playing for him. 'King Kenny'

Why are people always referring to our past?

We have been a club living on our past for too long and that's why we're there in the first place, it's as if every Liverpool supporter is born with a ****ing spoon in his mouth and expect silverware every season. We aren't fit enough at the moment to even aspire to playing in the top 4, names on a team sheet are just that, names, overrated football 'superstars'. For all the 'silky' touches '& passing' that we put together last night, Reading were putting double the amount of effort to close us down.

The players have ruined Rafa's 5 year legacy. He won't be manager next year and our club will be going downhill next, no money to even pay a top class manager (of which there's no one matching Rafa's pedigree out there) and no money to buy top class players. I can see us being relegated two years down the line. Even we as supporters expect defeat those days.

Just accept that we're not a great club anymore, it will make it all the more bearable.

          Sums it up for me!

Surely, you understand that all this hoofing is all down to confidence no? Or the lack of it to be more precise?

at least back in the evans days (when we where winning nothing as well) we where an entertaining side to watch. We had some attacking flow, more players with flair and ability. That at least made it more bearable to watch us not winning trophies.

Really poor season but I'm still confident we'll finish fourth. I still believe we'll lift number 19 with Rafa in charge.

I'd love that mate but I'm afraid fans' pressure will get the best of him, it has already started to grind his patience down. And with Hicks and Gillett being what they are, I can see him getting the sack too, Bolton style.

with man city's surge, i really dont see us finishing fouth this season unless arsenal blow up with a lot of injuries. just cant see it.

He's too stubborn and determined to walk mate. He wants to finish the job he started for the fans and he won't let a bad (nah, awful) season stop him. You may have a point with the owners but I think he'll do enough this season to get fourth and get another crack next year when we'll be much improved.

He lives and breathes Liverpool Football Club and while he's our manager he'll have my full support. Naturally my confidence is slightly shaken but I'm still sure of the man's quality.

Of course he is quality! I also believe he's the man to bring us success.

But people have to understand, that even whilst he's the manager, there are things he cannot control, such as players winning football matches. There's something broken this season.

I have been against the idea that Steven Gerrard has to be sold in that other thread, but if some players are undermining the manager, I expect Rafa to sell them, and that includes Stevie. I know nothing about the alleged 'bust up' that he may have had during half time (the official Rafa line is he was injured) but he's no bigger than the manager.

Some players are at fault and if Rafa has his way, he'll sort it out. Not sure he will have his way though.

According to you, the performance of the team is not the responsibility of the manager, results are not the responsibility of the manager, motivating the players is not the responsibility of the manager.

**** it, give me the job. Sounds like a piece of piss.

after last nights game i made a number of observations

                                1. in patches we strolled around the pitch playing some really good quality football. all that was missing was the final ball or a composed finish. that in it's own is a positive note to take from the game.

                                2. as much as it really pains me to say it ( and beleive me it is horrible to admit ) lucas is playing some good football. he was our best last night by a long way. i'm still not convinced that he will ever be the qualtiy that should be in a lfc shirt but at present he is playing well enough to keep his jersey.

                                3. babel last night showed what he can do other than run at players. he tracked back and gave cover to degen, held the ball up well and looked for a pass rather than shoot or take it himself. there will always be closed minded cunts who will still claim he was ****e last night but the truth is he was a threat last night and played well.

                                4. insua is utter tripe. turning his body to players to allow therm crosses or passes, no pace what-so-ever, caught out of position countless times ( you could here carra, agger and yossi screaming at him to get in position and to calm down so many times last night ), no confidence, ****e passes to players not in a position to receive the ball etc... the list goes on. he is ****ing awfull and to blame for the second goal. he must go....no question about it.

                                5. the 4-2-3-1 formation we are meant to play is 90% of the time a 4-5-1, and a defensive looking 4-5-1 at that. hopefully rodriguez will get a game on the right side of midfeild at the expense of kyut and rafa will give him the freedom to attack. unfortunately, reading rafa's comments last night about maxi playing left, right or in the centre makes me beleive he has him ear-marked for the left wing and yossi dropped to the bench.

and finally, 6. i'm glad we're out the cup in a way. we should put all our effort into getting top 4. **** the fa cup and **** the embarresment that is the europa league. we have a small avergae squad and last nights injuuries to torres, ste and yossi showed that we should have played ngog, babel and spearing from the start instead. the leageu is the only priority in my eyes.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.
