They have paid down £130 million this summer, Gilletts share of which was loaned from a hedge fund if I remember correctly, who knows where Hicks' money came from

Yes they have an awful lot to lose if the club goes into administration and imo this might be the reason Purslow has been so candid in his interview with SOS (a warning shot across their bows to wake up get real and maybe cut their losses before they lose everything)

Hicks is extremely stubborn thats a given seeing his actions with the Rangers and its clear that the owners valuation has been prohibitive in selling the club or finding investors

IF Purslow's comments (about the £100 million needed within 6 months) were reported as accurate (and the comments themselves are true) the owners are in an extremely difficult position and I struggle to see how they can come out of this with any profit, the best they are going to do is limit their losses
Actually they had potentially 350M but 55-60M (IIRC) was for the stadium and I am not sure how much if any of that was drawn down.

Edit: JamesP has already explained this I see. Must learn to read thread before posting

What was being suggested is that we are selling to buy, our transfer budget is determined by how much we can raise by selling players, our transfer budget is being restricted because of the debt repayments, debts that are due to Hicks and Gillett buying the club.

No one is suggesting we should live beyond our means, just that the debts are hampering our ability to sign players, and progress at the required rate on the pitch.

Also, G+H are cunts and disliked by everyone, and as someone stated a year or so ago, the ****ers are living in cloud cuckoo land.

Not attacking you here mate really I'm not, but you've already said you're not a member of SOS. So what exactly are you doing apart from holding your stance in this thread?
                Hello mert.

Has there been any further murmurings from SOS or CP since these two versions of the minutes were released or has all communication between the two stopped? The papers haven't picked up on this as much as I thought they would. I though Sky would have a field day with this one.

It'll probably take our journalists a couple of days to actually pick up on it properly, you know how efficient the press are

                        Good man.
                        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Ah, just in time for Saturday kick-off then...nice bit of pre-match disruption as usual.

That was my worry, a load of **** news story's right before a big local derby. Bad timing by SOS I think.

Rubbish, it's all for the good of the club. SOS are supporters through and through.
