All very true. I'm from Liverpool but live down south and we have massive support here. The southern lads are every bit as enthusiastic and emotional about the club as any scouser I've ever met, so I can't stand the pricks who denigrate supporters from outside Merseyside. It's particularly stupid and arrogant when you consider that scousers are now a small minority of the support of the club, even within the UK.

As for that SOS lot, what a bunch of self-important, jumped up nobodies. I've never seen a union that didn't represent employees' rights, so for this lot - just fans of the club, not employees - to call themselves a union is laughable and an insult to proper unions down the years. Sums up their self-important attitude and shows how far-removed from reality they are

I've known a few of them for a long time and they're all absolute die hards. I for one applaud them for getting off their collective arse and having a go at getting rid of the Carpetbaggers whatever it takes. I also think the fact that they're local lads and most of them are old enough to have seen happier times at LFC means the club means more to them than it does the average OTT, hence their general lack of support on this board. Controversial view I know but thats what I think.

Huyton, Kirkby & Bootle are not within the City boundaries. Why do you think Evertonians were up in arms when it looked like they were off to Kirkby? They're part of Merseyside, but NOT Liverpool.

You obviously don't get what I mean. Do you honestly believe that if people from Halewood, Bootle, Huyton, Kirkby were on holiday and someone asked them where they were from they wouldn't say "Liverpool"? Evertonions foolishley took the bait when Reds took the piss. They should have just ignored what was a pretty lame taunt. FWIW If Liverpool decided to build the new Stadium in Kirkby I'd still consider it to be in Liverpool. I wouldn't take any notice of what some gob****e town planner decided in the seventies. I've known literally hundreds and hundreds of people from all the areas you list and I think they would all consider themselves to be from Liverpool. Oh, by the way, I'm from Anfield.
