    my team would be
    ...............reina
    .......škrtel-carra-agger
    ..degen-masch-lucas-insua
    ...............gerrard
    ...........kuyt-n'gog

there might seem a lack of creativity in that team but i'm confident stevie in a free roll can inflict a lot of damage to any team, and it can't hurt to have players like riera and maxi on the bench to change the course of the game if neccesary.

as you say yourself though, there is no creativity in that team and the arse would exploit that by man marking gerard out the game and cutting off our only outlet. to stick perhaps maxi and riera wide left and right would add more creativity but then i'd be worried about the arse attacking our flanks. tough one.

I have reason to believe our XI for tomorrow will be:

      Reina
      Carragher Skrtel Agger Insua
      Mascherano Lucas
      Kuyt Gerrard Maxi
      N'Gog

Midfielder Alberto Aquilani will miss Liverpool's trip to Arsenal because of illness.

The Italian has been vomiting and manager Rafael Benitez said he was too weak to feature at the Emirates Stadium.

Centre-back Sotirios Kyrgiakos starts a three-match suspension after being sent off in Saturday's fiery Merseyside derby and is also sidelined for forthcoming games against Manchester City and Blackburn.

He is likely to be replaced by Martin Skrtel, who was dropped to the bench at the weekend to allow for the return of Daniel Agger after a month out injured.

Liverpool's only other absentees are striker Fernando Torres (knee), Yossi Benayoun (rib) and Glen Johnson (knee), all of whom are still some way off full fitness.

        Only three of our best

I'd like to see that team but with Riera instead of Maxi.

Subs: Cav, Kelly, Degen, Maxi, Babel, Aurelio, Pacheco

Can't say I'm suprised, but hopefully we can end that run tomorrow

£47 to freeze my bollocks off. If we get a result, it'll be great.

Aquilani should be put in reserves for rest of this season

                          Despite our pony record away at Arsenal, I'm confident about this. Huge game and if we can grab a win then 4th is looking very good indeed. I'd like to see;

                          Reina
                          Carragher Skrtel Agger Insua
                          Lucas Mascherano
                          Maxi Gerrard Riera
                          Kuyt

I think Ngog has done well the last few games, but Kuyt is on form and a Maxi-Gerrard-Riera combination is very offensive - let them do all the hard work and have Kuyt in the six yard box.

hell, if we win tomorrow, 3rd isn't looking far off.

and wouldn't it be something if the arse finished as low as 5th or 6th?

not saying it will happen, or that i want it to happen, but it is possible but not probable.

and would underline what a mental season it's been this year.
