Difference between us, united and the chavs is.
United and chavs show Arsenal for what they really are. Good passing but nothing else but average where we make them look good. How many ****ing times are we going to make them look good and offer nothing upfront against them? This is the worst Arsenal team i have seen in a long time. Also they were low on confidence and there for the taking.
The fact that after going a goal down we waited until the 77th or 80th minute to get babel on pissed me off. Ngog is good but he is nowhere near good enough to lead the line for liverpool. Thank god we just signed a strong striker today for next season.
We were dire all game again.Last edited by Leyton388; 10-02-10, 11:35 PM.

can we have rafa as manager forever and have someone else buying the frigging players, i am totally baffled by the aquilani signing when it was obvious we needed a striker.Originally posted by JohnDoe View PostI'll be shocked if Maxi ends up a success here. I'll give him time but my feeling is that he'll be back in his home land within 12-18 months.
clubs were not exactly queuing up for the boy and if it was obvious he would be injured through out this season why didn't we go for him in the summer when there more chance of him being fit, baffled by that one im afraid

That was depressing. Our away record is dreadful and I just don't see us even scoring away from home. Can anyone remember the last proper goal away? None tonight, none at Wolves, scramble from a set piece at Stoke...? We're barely even a threat.
At home I fancy us against anyone but it's our away form that'll cost us.
Having said that we're without Torres, Benayoun and Johnson, who all make a massive difference going forward. The latter two never get a mention from the pundits, it's only ever Torres, and the post-match tonight on Sky was borderline disgraceful - especially that cunt Keys. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Arsenal came into the game with no confidence, we gave it to them. We were too negative, toothless upfront and simply not good enough.Originally posted by liverpooltj View PostDifference between us, united and the chavs is.

[QUOTE=BobTheCharmer;1526106]if that shot had gone in there would be a number of people on here creaming themselves. a goal masks a lot in some peoples view. and I mean a lot.
I don't love the guy, far from it. But in a squad that is great at battling away, defending and nicking the odd goal, to actually have a player with the ability he has and not play him more is almost criminal.[/
Main problem is mate that he is worse than useless at holding the ball up or running into channels, which means the whole team lack shape and anywhere to feed the ball up top to relieve pressure and bring the midfieldrs into attack. The odd offchance he might pulloff one of his rare wondergoals just ain't worth it for 90 mins.3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Does anyone else think, Gerrard as a second striker off anyone else but Torres doesn't really work? He only came into the game when Lucas came off and he dropped back.“Me having no education. I had to use my brains.”

I have a horrible feeling Aquilani is going to be a terrible signing due to injuries. Also Shaggy i agree every ****ing time we play away we look piss poor and never look like scoring and i can only put it down to Rafa playing Ngog upfront on his own.
We seem to be going to away games looking for a draw and displaying tactics of park the bus and hoof one up and hope. We should have hammered those ****ers tonight but yet again we loose to a piss poor arsenal side with ****ing Bendtner up front FFS!
Also is it just me or did skrtel look at fault for the goal by not picking up his man?

the difference between us and man u etc is , we cannot cope with out our best players out , they can
hence the difference is ££££££££££££££ - the wonga, we cant spend big on squad players
until we get investment we are gonna shop in the bargain basement and do the best with what we have got. if we dont qualify for the CL , it will get worse
i am confident we will qualify though

Yep, thought the same myself. He has such a good understanding with Torres, and also we've lost Alonso feeding him the ball. He made a difference in centre-mid tonight but could also have had something to do with us doing the usual trick of only starting to play with any urgency or purpose when we'd gone a goal behind.Originally posted by knockers View PostDoes anyone else think, Gerrard as a second striker off anyone else but Torres doesn't really work? I think the problem is that he's surrounded by **** when Torres is not paying.Originally posted by knockers View PostDoes anyone else think, Gerrard as a second striker off anyone else but Torres doesn't really work? It was Degen who lost Diaby - he just ****ing wandered off - and tonight he was an absolute liability. The second he came on he ****ed up by charging up field naively and getting caught hopelessly out of position. It happened several times after that, too. We wouldn't have lost tonight had Carra stayed on, that's a ****ing fact!Originally posted by liverpooltj View Post

I kind of admire Degen's childlike gung-ho approach to the game but he makes Johnson look conservative and as I said is a total liability at the back. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

yeah i agree with that. Chelsea did what we tried to do tonight but Chelsea had a strong striker upfront in drogba where we had David Ngog. For the time Aquilani has had out and how little he has played i still feel our limited money would have been better spent on a striker as we have played lucas and mash in the middle 99% of the time this season.Originally posted by ronniedrew View Postyou are completelty wrong and you are right in the same breath

Dunno why you leave it on mate, really don't.
Always thought being well organised and industrious v Goons wouldn't be enough. Need some counter threat to relieve the pressure. Lack of that is why we're so poor away.
Agree SG as 2nd striker only works wi Nando, altho Lucas was pretty good.3rd place. Worst champions ever.
