sadly i agree, we played counter attack with no attackers, ngog needs to big up he is to weak physically and kuyt despite the plaudits lacks a football brain and has a total lack of imagination when passing the ball.
me i would throw Pacheco into the mix he plays an attacking unpredictable game which i think would be quite refreshing, but what the fuk do i know.

Ngog has something but he needs to get so much more aggressive. He's far too timid. It's frustrating.

we deserved what we got absolutely nothing.

we went in negative and there was only one team trying to win the match and that wasnt us.

Anyway fair play to arsenal - even though they were pretty short of confidence they still managed to grind out a result against a pretty toothless liverpool.

I dont get why we didnt go for them because they were clearly down and we should have gone for the jugular.

spurs lost, villa drew and we play man city next week. That's the game we need to look at - that is now a must win game for us.

Third place is arsenals, we just need to concentrate on finishing fourth.

I wouldn't normally but had a mate round, been turning it off for a good while now. It defies belief and did so again tonight, I was lost for words at some of the drivel.

We wouldn't have lost tonight had Carra stayed on, that's a ****ing fact!

I kind of admire Degen's childlike gung-ho approach to the game but he makes Johnson look conservative and as I said is a total liability at the back.
Agree with Degen tonight as the amount of times he went forward and left us exposed was a joke but Insua was just as bad tonight. The lad fails to understand the number 1 rule of defending "If in doubt knock it out" We need to get shut in the summer and get a capable left back who doesn't get his arse handed to him on a regular basis by a quick winger.

Spot on. For a guy who barely played today, he sure ****ed up a lot.

At the pub I commented that might be the last we see of him.

              Hope I'm right...

i thought ngog did well, i like the lad, is he ready to lead the line for liverpool - no , he wouldnt get a game for villa/spurs/city or everton for that matter. but he is our best option at the moment. says a lot about our so called squad investment - sell more than you buy - that will get you places

we just need yossi and fernando fit , as for riera , i dont know whats going on. rafa has thrown maxi in for 2 games where he did **** all

i am absolutely loving masch at the moment

thought skyrtl was mom, usually i think he mistimes everything and is too rash, was spot on tonight though. am i the only one that thinks rafa is happy to "have" to play carra at rb

some of our passing was laughable, for a top 4 side we should expect our players to be able to pass the ball forward constructively manner and at least try and play some sort of football.

we surrendered posession constantly and whenever we did get it it was just rubbish ****e.

ive give my left nut for fabregas in midfield with mascherano but knowing how creative players are treated at liverpool he would still be behind lucas (who actually played really well today in a defensive sense)

Dont agree. We deserved a point there. Just like they didn't deserve to beat us at home either.

Shaggy, I turn off the post- match Sky stuff in fear of breaking something expensive- like the telly. Just ain't worth it.
                      3rd place. Worst champions ever.

we didnt deserve anything, 15 minutes of football doesnt constitute deserving to win a point. Im not having a go mate but what about the 75 mins of bollocks that preceded that last 15 ?

arsenal deserved to win because at least they tried, we just sat back and hoped to hit them on the counter even though we dont have any genuine pace in the team bar gerrard and he isnt going to play a 30 yard pass and be on the end of it.

we just dont have the tools to open teams like arsenal up and united and chelsea showed just how easy it was.

                            One other thing.

This isn't a pop at Maxi - but for me - if Riera is fit then he has to start every single game in my opinion. Just like Alonso last season, who didn't score loads or assist loads (though the word 'assist' can be misleading), he's a key part of our starting 11 and we're a much better team with him in it.

                            **** sake.

Not read everyone's comments but be fair to Maxi - he's been out of the Atletico team before joining us and struggling for form. He's not going to come in straight away and be brilliant. Give him time. His technical ability is plain to see, he just has to play himself into a bit of form

We have Riera, Maxi, Babel, Benni & Auerlio all vying for the left side and Kuyt on the right. Strange.
