ah right so he wants a big budget to come to us. oh he loves us that much. we should be grateful that he may come to us.

lets see what he does under the same circumstances as rafa. oh we cant as he wouldnt work under those circumstances but then he is a great man so it doesnt matter. i beleive anders frisk loves him too.

Well, if it is true we should be flattered somewhat that arguably the best Manager in World football right now would be willing to walk out on possibly a CL winning team to come to a Europa League club called Liverpool. The name still has clout.

If Rafa was given a big bugdet for next season do you honestly think he would be able to attract better players to the club than Mourinho? Honest answer please.

i think he would be able to get the same quality of signings as maureen

i dont dislike maureen as such i find him a bit objectionable but his methods do work

my concern is he makes it about him to take pressure off his players but he then carries on witness the walking to the middle of the pitch with arms aloft at the nou camp.

he also doesnt tend to set a club up for the future. older players but where is the long term plan?

reina mascher torres all attracted by rafa. all world class and all got years left in them so he doesnt do that badly all the time does he.

i think capello would say he has achieved more than maureen. but lets not let the hype get in the way that there are other very good managers out there who achieve without all the me me me of maureen.

grant he didnt do to badly did he. now i wouldnt say he is worldclass but look at what he achieved with the same chelsea team.

JM's in the CL next season, Rafa's in the EL. Where do their paths cross? Where does rafa threaten him?

The most recent one i linked on here not that long ago but most of it is from stuff i've read ages ago, not all of it from the internet, so you'll have to forgive me for not scouring round trying to find things for your benefit.

Maybe i'll hang on here and try scoring points with comments about people's post counts. That'll validate everything

A threat to what Marsh? Is he going to take JM's job? The one which Mourinho is leaving anyway? Is he going to beat Mourinho to the Madrid job? Is he going to win Serie A from merseyside and beat Mourinho? Is he going to win La Liga with Liverpool and beat Mourinho that way? Is he going to win the CL without even being in it, and beat JM in that manner?

Rafa isnt a threat to JM getting our job because if he's getting it, then the decision's been made.

If anything, Mourinho's a threat to Rafa's position. Benitez is under pressure and Mourinho's current stock is the highest it's ever been. At the moment, JM isnt threatened by anyone.

Where has weaknesses come into anything? Of course he has weaknesses, nobody said he hasnt. You're becoming irrational and pointing to things which werent even being discussed. Weaknesses? Of course. Like everyone else.

He's reached the point where he could probably walk into more or less any job in the world, so that's why i dont see him as being or feeling 'threatened' by anyone, because he doesnt have anything to lose to anyone. Inter job? His if he wants to stay, he probably wants out though. Madrid job? Likely his if he wants it. I dont think he wants any job that he doesnt consider to be suitable for him, and i dont think he considers ours as suitable under G&H so again, i dont see how rafa is a threat to mourinho. I dont think mourinho loses sleep that rafa might beat him into any job this summer, but if you disagree with me, then fair enough.

I'm actually bored of this, and havent been saying much of late because it all bores me. It's tedious this time of year and i dont really care about anything football-related right now, yet you've managed to drag me back But that's my own fault, i'll have more willpower next time. Club football is of no real interest to me for the next couple of months or so.
