No, but if they are beginning to accept they wont get that top dollar, why not sell top players, pay off lots of the debt...then pocket more when the club sells for what it's really worth having paid the debt down.

Believe me, whichever way gets Hicks most cash is the way he'll go, he's accepted he's selling now, but he'll go all out to maximise his profit whatever it takes, he cares not what state lfc is in once he's gone.

If they stripped the club of all its top players and brought the debt down by 150 million, how much would they realistically get for the club.
And how much on top of that would a new owner have to spend to get us back into the top 4 and challenge for the league.

Its a distinct possibility if thats indeed what they are looking for, lets simplify matters if G&H are at the wheel when the new manager comes in, He is a cunt if not then we have a chance

I think we are delaying naming one until as late as possible so that whoever does take charge doesn't have any time in the window to buy players.

In the mean time we can sell some of them because "they wanted to leave and were unhappy". That way its a Win-Win for our glorious owners and management team.

Rafa Benitez threw his weight behind Kenny Dalglish's bid to become Liverpool manager and hailed him as the perfect fit to revive their fortunes.
Inter Milan's new coach made his first appearance before the Italian media, but still found time to address his departure from Anfield and the subject of who should replace him.
Despite Roy Hodgson remaining Liverpool's preferred choice, Benitez insisted Dalglish was best qualified to appease disgruntled fans and ease some of the pressure on owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett.

'I cannot talk about players at other clubs,' he said. 'I will discuss possible transfer targets with the people here, but I think we will be looking to bring in top-level players.

'A few years ago, there was interest in me from Inter, but we didn't have any direct contact. Now this opportunity has come at the right time, and I mean to make the most of it.

Liverpool, meanwhile, denied claims that Chelsea had offered £50m for striker Fernando Torres and reiterated their stance that any such approach would be rejected.
