    Leighton Baines

Noticed him last season. He got injured and was out for a while but is back and on top form at the moment.

Can he play at right back aswell as left? Either way, he would be good to have. He is a scouser, still young and i doubt he'd cost too much. Great shot too.

    Thoughts?

Quality young player with a bright future, would definitely like to see him signed for a reasonable fee. Providing of course we can still take care of our top priorities.

It'd be sweet if we signed Bale but I get the feeling Arsenal will end up getting him

There's the problem mate, how reasonable do you see Wigan being?

These are the feckers who took, what was it, £7m for Chimbonda?

i was gonna post the exact same thing after watching todays match, the lad looks quality..get rid of that lightweight Brazilian Fabio and get Baines in at LB with Riise at Lm. Also, get rid of Zenden & Kewell while yer at it.
Our left side should have 2 of Warnock, Riise, Baines & Gonzalez.

as funny as ity may sound, I think we have missed Kewell this season. IMO he is more effective than gonzales or aurelio, I know its earlydays for the lads though and they will settle into their roles more the longer they are here.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

It's Kewell's attitude that gets on my nerves along with his overly unfullfilled potential.

There's no way he as been as unfit as he claims to have been since he signed for us.

                        I think he has been.
What professional in his right mind would make them up?. especially playing for LFC.

Exactly. IMO, he has lost the passion for football, therefore he is not in the right mind for the game.

I just get the impression that he makes a mountain out of a molehill in regards to injuries. I'm not the only one that thinks that.

Yeah I know a lot of people think that, but I'm yet to hear anything of any substance supporting that idea. I think he's just crocked, simple as that.
