    This left back situation is dragging on isn't it ? I've not heard anything lately but according to some sites where going for Aly Cissokho from Lyon...Just thought I'd bump this one though, the more Left backs that slip by the more I think it could be because were in for Baines... I know what the responses will be already..... but stranger things have happened!

            Fair comment... that was a bad choice of words on my behalf, it was meant to be tongue in cheek... I think were in for Baines but I don't think it will happen until a week before the season starts or at least until Everton can agree a deal for whoever there going to spend the money on... Hence another week another Leftback for us...

                Not so sure that I would pay the premium for Baines now that we have Adam BTW.

                    Baines would have added a lot to our team with his set-pieces. Now we have Adam, that side of things is covered. To buy Baines we’d have to pay extra as he’s English, plays for a rival and has impressive assist stats. I don’t think he’d get half as many assists if he’s not taking set-pieces and would like to hope there is a cheaper option out there that can get decent delivery into the box from open play.
