What players from the last three games do you guys think need a new manager to revitalise them, and why do you think these players are not performing for Rafa

Maybe he's lost the players, maybe he hasn't, but it seems strange to take a firm stance on the issue based on the look on a player's face. Who knows what's going through his mind?.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Why? Why would we drop at least 2 points over these two games?Originally posted by Armchairkopite View PostHes right though, the thing is the two toughest games we had left where away to Brum and at home to the Chavs, we knew we would drop at least two points over the these two games so Rafa is calling it right imo.
Problem now is that Citeh have their tails up.
Why couldnt we just win all 6?
Failure mentality at the club and Benitez is overseeing it and tolerating it.

And regarding torres, if we had someone of quality to come in, we could rest torres - but look at our team when we need a goal and ask yourself where's the goal coming from? You'll name Torres and Gerrard, and that's it.
City turn out a side with Adebayor, Tevez, Bellamy, Adam Johnson in it - 4 players who they can turn to when you need a goal. We have 2.
Who's fault is that? Not rocket science.

Going on current form and the fixtures left I would have expected to drop points at some stage and these two fixtures stood out as the potential pit falls.
Failure mentality seriously what a load of ****.

Yea, Rafa should've bought them both in the Summer when they where available, God only knows why he didn't.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostAnd regarding torres, if we had someone of quality to come in, we could rest torres - but look at our team when we need a goal and ask yourself where's the goal coming from? That sums it up though - 'going on current form...' etc etc - basically, giving a ready made excuse to drop points. A losing mentality.Originally posted by Armchairkopite View Post

A winner's mentality would say we have better players, far more quality and a big need to win, so we'll go out there, utilise our quality and win the games.
But no, we're Liverpool - we accept failure and expect it.
If he hadnt dropped the almighty bollock that was the Aquilani signing, he would've been able to buy another striker. But no, Rafa chose Aquilani and then we're left with having to put N'Gog in to replace Torres. Brilliant judgement there, it's cost us a CL place. Round of applause.Originally posted by Armchairkopite View PostYea, Rafa should've bought them both in the Summer when they where available, God only knows why he didn't.

You said your self in a different thread that we could possibly afford to drop 2 points out of our remaining fixtures and still claim fourth so go and have a good talk with yourself and bring your defeatist attitude with you.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostThat sums it up though - 'going on current form...' etc etc - basically, giving a ready made excuse to drop points. How am i the one with a deafetist attitude?
You're the one saying we knew we'd drop points and that it's ok - i'm saying our attitude should be one of expecting to win all 6 games and targetting that - not effectively saying 'well we werent gonna win all 6 anyway' - that is defeatist.

Ignoring the winner's mentality drivel, what sort of calibre of players (CM and striker) is he going to get for the price of Aquilani?Originally posted by Craig_H View PostIf he hadnt dropped the almighty bollock that was the Aquilani signing, he would've been able to buy another striker. Why is it drivel? Do you think telling yourself that we 'will' drop points is a winning mentality?Originally posted by wiw View PostIgnoring the winner's mentality drivel, what sort of calibre of players (CM and striker) is he going to get for the price of Aquilani?
As for players - i think City paid something like a third of the price for Adam Johnson, that we did for Aquilani - so he could've brought quality, pace and threat from a wide position, freeing up Babel or Kuyt to be an out and out striker.
