        Quick bit of math shows..

        £225.85m spend
        £153.10m return
        = £72.75m net

        6 season = 12 window

        73.75m/12 = 6.06m p/w

EDIT : I missed Johnson out which changes things a little bit

no matter whether he has spent 800m or **** all it doesn't excuse his over reliance on **** house tactics, his refusal to make instant subs or to change his formation regardless of players available.

Of course he would have a better chance of succeeding with more money, thats true with every bloody manager. What we need is less moaning and bleating and instead concentrate on getting 100% out of the more than half decent players we do have.

I was asked yesterday by someone whether I thought Rafa would have a better season next year if he stays. My answer was absol****inglutely. We've had some **** luck and bizarre things happen but regardless of this I think time has run its course and this place needs a lift. Hopefully new oweners and new manager with new ideas will get more from these players. After all we have a great keeper, two more than decent centre backs, a quality right back, two excellent centre midfielders in Gerrard & Masher and of course one of the worlds best forwards. Its a good basis for any manager to start with.

          We need a new approach.

Rafa decided to spunk almost £40m on Keane and Aquilani. We could have messi in our team and he would still st us up the same way. He needs to change his tactics first.

Let alone what he's spent, I think even the bad luck argument is wearing thin - even with his key players back he sabotages any chances we have of playing genuine football by ****ing around with those players. If he stays beyond this season then I can't bear the thought of next season.

I'm looking forward to next season, when Rafa will prove to you doubters that he actually is one of the best coaches in world foorball.

I wasn't making any excuses for him..

                          Every manager makes bad signings!

For every Aquilani there is a Hargreaves

The thing is, most big clubs that win things regularly make these sort of mistakes quite often and get away with it because they have big squads with quality players. At Liverpool there is hardly any margin for error in the transfer market, and i don't know of any manager that would be perfect when it comes to transfers.

Exactly.. If united waste £20m on a player there squad is still likely to compete whereas we are relaying on the players coming in to make an impact.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
