So from the Guardian article it apears that it was RBS that appointed (hoisted) Broughton on Liverpool FC PLC to protect their investment.

I wonder if they also feel that other management changes are required to protect their investment?

So RBS have two men in Broughton and Purslow at the club.

Still cant see the club being sold for £500m

We'll be in the same position ownership wise next season, imo, just have no faith in appointments made at the moment, too many people getting involved now who want what's best for them or their banks...and not lfc.

How many leeches will this club end up with..all wanting their slice of the cake.

the guy on talksport said the banks needed rid of the debt though as its potentially toxic. All it takes is football to take a nose dive or this **** with Sky and Oftel to go sour and real problems would arise

I've got no qualms with his appointment frankly

It at least seems to be a positive admission that the owners arent up to the job and / or want to sell

Yes, but he also said that wouldn't happen, when it was pointed out to him that Sky need the Prem as much as the Prem need Sky, due to so much of their subscriptions being for sport.

I just didn't get the impression from him that anything would happen anytime soon is all, hope i got that wrong.

Seems to me, as has been the case all along..that the problem with selling the club has always been the price they are asking, from what i'm hearing they are still looking for far too much, there are buyers out there, but paying H&G over the odds does not appeal to them at all.

thing is they could have got 400m from DIC at some point couldnt they? or have i got that wrong. they once valued the club at £1b which was pure madness.

In slight mitigation of the madness, I think it was $1bn, while the pound was strong and before the crunch. Or just slightly less than Man U was sold for. What all of this shows is how cheaply Moores actualy sold the club for, despite some accusations.

we are not worth anything near as much as the scum. with a bigger stadium and when we fully exploit our commercial side

but as we are no way.
