They've transferred the borrowed funds onto LFC, meaning LFC owes Kop Holdings (their ownership company) the money - as i understand it.Originally posted by BillobShaisley View Post"They've put the debt onto us" - What does that mean?
New buyers wont buy Kop Holdings they will buy lfc, probably with some debt, at least but not limited to ongoing player purchase costs etc. G&H will then use the money from the sale to pay Kop Holdings debts and keep any leftovers.
If i'm mistaken in that, Lecter will probably have a more accurate account.

It clearly wasn't a good decision. Hindsight is a wonderfull thing. Amongst many of the posts in this thread is outright hatred of a genuine bloke who IMO was forced out due to fan pressure when all he needed was a new CEO.Originally posted by Operation View PostHate campaign against, or criticism of ? He now then gets **** for doing exactlly what the vociferous new wave wanted. DIC I dont think would be much better and neither will anyone else 'the liverpool way' is dead forever precisely because of the same tantrum throwing arses moaning now."that is my opinion and that is more important than what anyone else has to say about it" - Mr A.Fergusson, Oct 2011

You wouldn't know because you were not in his shoes. Would you have dealt with the pressure better? You wouldn't know because you've never been in charge of a footballing institution such as Liverpool FC.Originally posted by Craig_H View Post
I detest the stupidity of the decision though.

But moores wasn't forced out through fan pressure, so I don't think this holds water. The pressure only really grew after about 3 years of him conducting a search for a buyer in public.Originally posted by BillobShaisley View PostIt clearly wasn't a good decision. But a lot of people have, and they don't seem to have made such an error of judgement in the main.Originally posted by PeteBest View PostYou wouldn't know because you were not in his shoes. From what we were all reading over the last week or two my understanding was that LFC have actually paid 10mil or so in interest to kop holdings, which is probably interest on only a bit more than what we owed at the start. The big interest payments have been rolled over and are still under Kop Holdings, increasing the overall debt burden?
There's nothing to stop the debt being officialy transfered except pragmatism around any sale.
The reason new buyers wont buy kop holdings is because its just an umberlla to accomodate joint owners with no other asset. Why would a new owner want that? They just want the club."that is my opinion and that is more important than what anyone else has to say about it" - Mr A.Fergusson, Oct 2011

I can't believe the abuse Moores is getting. It's like some believe he wanted up **** up LFC.
