I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

Oh yeah, he also said "the new stadium is fully designed and all in place for the new owners to start work on"

Most worryingly, Hickstheliar also said the club has no intention of selling Torres or Gerrard.

He now then gets **** for doing exactlly what the vociferous new wave wanted. DIC I dont think would be much better and neither will anyone else 'the liverpool way' is dead forever precisely because of the same tantrum throwing arses moaning now.

Because 'The Liverpool Way' became null and void around about 1990, since then pretty much every other 'major' club has overtaken us either on the field, off the field or both.
Chelsea, Man U, Spurs, Arsenal, Villa and Man City have all markedly improved one or both aspects of their club.
We were nice and cosey with our 'Liverpool Way' winning bugger all (comparitively) between 1990 and 2001.
We were so far behind commercially that H&G have trebled commercial revenue in the past 12 months (or something like that).

Those commercial failings are 100% the fault of Moores and Parry, I'm sorry but 'The Liverpool Way' is about as relevent in modern day football as the boot room.

Standing still is moving backwards because everyone else progresses, we're actually regressing of our own accord while other clubs are progressing.

The fact that we are still at Anfield 10 years after first stating the intention to get a new ground says it all! In 2000 the parry bowl would have cost only £80m which was the price the club set and Moores could have easily taken out that loan against the club which if he did would most likey had been paid back by now and we would have a 70k ground and no debt or at least a bit of debt.

But we're ok though aren't we, I don't know how old you are but I'm 35 and I'd drive from Bristol to Liverpool to watch games if we got demoted to the Conference because it's in our blood.
My 10 year old boy is a huge Liverpool fan, loves Torres and any left footed player (obviously because he's left footed) how do I explain to a 10 year old about the off field ****e and potentially explaining to him why Gerrard and Torres have left but still expect him to go to school and be proud to be a Liverpool fan???

We'll lose a generation of supporters if it isn't sorted quickly.

Hicks claims there's a substantial transfer budget in place, and that the club will make significant investment this summer, but it's really about getting the right players. Goes on to say they will sell the club but (ironic and rich of him to say this) they wont just sell it to the 'wrong group' or for the wrong price. They will take their time, do it in a thoughtful way and sell it to the 'right steward' (is The Glove buying the club? ) to own LFC. He hopes it gets done by the end of the calendar year (doesnt say WHICH calender year that is), and doesnt anticipate that it'll be done before the start of the new season.

He maintains that £600m is not an unrealistic valuation, saying that 'the market is the market', and that he's more concerned with finding the right person to come in, build the new stadium and make LFC be the 'best possible football club in the world'.

The stadium designs are in place and with the financial markets coming back to what they were, there will be the opportunity to have the new stadium built by the new owner. There's been 'so much misinformation put out by people who have their own agendas and it is unfortunate but that is the way it is'.

He insists the club is much better off than it was 3 years ago. They've done their best but there's been lots of journalism which he finds questionable. He feels disappointed that people with their 'own agendas' have used the tabloids in ways to get their message out. He's proud that LFC is one of the top sporting teams in the world and wants to make sure that they find the right next owner. He's disappointed on a personal level that their efforts havent been received as well as he wishes they had been.

The stadium should have been designed long ago, saying that "the spade in the ground" should have been there a long time ago.

                            Frustrating times
