This is the point i was making in the other thread, about these middle-eastern groups allegedly fronted by Liverpool 'fans' who were interested in buying the club.

If you have £12billion and you're a genuine fan, why would you baulk at the idea of overpaying by £300m for the club?

I'd pay it, if i had it and the same should apply to any real fan.

Even for someone with £12bn, £300m is a huge sum of money there's very little chance of anyone willing to write off that type of money. Just wouldn't happen.

And perhaps one of the reasons you aren't a multi-billionaire is the fact that you'd happily burn £300m!

But to Hicks and his pal ? that would be some bitter pill to swallow...i'd want to make absolutely certain i'd exhausted every other avenue before giving in to their demands and paying what imo amounts to a ransom for LFC'S future best interests.

I would at the very least want to hear the sas teams plans for taking them both out before i paid them a penny.

It's about the greater good. Even if it means giving the parasites more profit, if it's gonna save the club, then i'd do it. Every single day of the week.

It's the same ratio as £3 out of £120.

Even an obscene amount like £300m is chicken feed compared to £12b. They'd probably barely notice the difference.

If I had my fan's hat on you could say that that £300m I'm giving away to H&G could be the best part of 10 years of transfer funds. Or almost the cost of a new stadium. Or used to knock a tenner off the price of tickets for years and years. Or used for a million and one other important things.

It is a totally illogical option to overpay by that amount, even from a "real" fan's viewpoint.
