I do not think they would have been perfect owners they have their own problems nowOriginally posted by Tatterdemalion View PostWhatever he says we shouldn't labour under the illusion that DIC would have been perfect owners. The evidence of the time, and since, suggests that they would not (though perhaps not as clueless as our current bunch).
I do wonder how far down the stadium build we would be though if they had bought us
I'd imagine it might be slightly more than the current hole in the groundBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

“To a
great extent, we took Tom Hicks on
trust, on George’s say-so.”
Moores rejects allegations, however,
that anyone at the club was negligent
in the due diligence process
That quote is just ****ing unbelievable , not only did he **** up he refuses to appoligise for it................for a business man he is one complete idiot .Although a red through to the core he has surely ****ed up and just come out and admit it?...............more conspiracy is why now?............is the sale gone through I wonder?

He really doesn't know them at all does he
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I think it's worth remembering not many fans were anything but ecstatic when Gillett and Hicks came in. I expect they took it on trust too. Oh yeah, I know, they were just fans, Moores was meant to be a businessman, more astute, a custodian of the club, etc. My point though is it's easy to criticise if you never have to make a decision (a point which also applies to all the Fantasy Managers on here, but that's for other threads).
I feel Moores gets too much abuse for his mistakes and a bit more forgiveness wouldn't go amiss.
We're all angry about the situation but cream is right (for once
) - the Americans are the target. Anything else is a distraction IMO.
.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Dont say I didnt warn youOriginally posted by Craig_H View PostThe fact that he's chosen to come out and do this now tells me a sale is nowhere near happening.
I fear I was correct and that this whole "For Sale" announcement has been a ploy to get the banks to give them a bit of breathing space
You only have to look at how Hicks is playing out the sale of his US sports teams hes just had one of them file Chapter 11. That shows hes prepared to take things absolutely to the end
We will end up in administration before we are rid of these twoBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Moores may be a fan at heart but the way he handled everything in his tenure makes him out to be a retard. The natural reaction is to feel a bit sorry for the dumb **** because he probably is hurting. However, when i then think about the £80 million he made out of the debacle it makes me ****ing furious. He should take that 80 mill and give it to feckin cancer research or something because it is dirty dirty money.
And don't get me started on parry.

All shareholders (and my family had some) were taken in
I think the take up of their offer document on the first round was well over 90%Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
