Another thing I like about this signing is that we appear to have done it the right way, ie no ugliness, no shouting about it, just yes we've had a chat with him and than bang, we've signed him.

Does that mean it was a Roy signing or a Purslow signing??

I'm very happy with signing Cole. We pretty much swapped Yossi for Cole and £6m. Would like to see us sign a forward, left back and centre half and i would be very pleased...depending on the actual players we sign that is.

I don't think Mascher will stay but it doesn't bother me. I'd rather we had players that can pass and defend and not one or the other.

Just come back off holiday, phone battery died first thing this morning, dumped the cases, put the kettle on, put SSN on and saw this. Absolutely ****ing made up. He's got a bit to prove following his injuries but a fit Joe Cole is undoubtedly an upgrade on Yossi (and Garcia before him). Amazing news.

While he is undoubtedly a good player I do have a couple of worries - one about fitness the other about whether he will offer much as much of a goal threat as Yossi. If he keeps fit he will be a more rounded player than we have had for that type of role certainly and I guess Jovanovic adds another goal threat compared to last seasons squad.

Welcome Joe Cole...Good signing, not worried about the injuries though. We have new medical man and I think he will sort out Cole/Torres/Agger and Aqua(sorted). The type of player we have been crying out for.
Good on you Roy for convincing Cole to join Liverpool..

Torres must surely see we are doing our best in the circumstances to move forward. First Jova, now Cole and possibly Remy.... I think he will give us at least 1 more season.

And being the optimist I predict it could be Torres' best season yet...
