Suso Fernandez, **** me this guy is talented. We've seen so many next big things, but this lad will make it a good level, I'm convinced.

Who knows, maybe our inability to spend big money, if it continues, will give some of these boys a break. To be honest, I'd rather see us hover around the top 6, introducing kids and developing them rather than us splash mega money ala Citeh.

I know where you're coming from there mate - I'd love to see us bring through some young players.

from what I've seen of Suso he's seriously talented and we should be looking to develop him - I believe if you're good enough you're old enough, I mean look at Cesc at Arsenal got his chance very early on and he's not too bad is he!! Not saying Suso is that good or there yet but he's someone I really think could step up and really come through for us in a season or two

With a steady imput into the first aquad, i firmly beleive he could make a top classs player for the Club, just don't rush him in like Owen which fooked him up in the latter stages of his carrear

Really good tonight. I think trabsetc... had hoped to get a lot more not down our left tonight but Kelly was well up to them. He's really composed, can find a pass, doesn't seem to have to panic-run back into position too doesn't dive in on tricky ****ers, seems very vocal with teammates... all that's missing is a bad game where we can start calling him a cunt.

In fairness to Kelly he's not a LB but did a steady job, couple of shaky moments positioning wise but he'll be all the better for a game in that atmosphere.
                Forwards.......

Went to the U21's game yesterday afternoon as it was a stones throw from my door, and Kelly didn't get on which was massively disappointing. Managed to get an autograph from him for my little cousin and he seemed like a nice lad. Said he was hoping for more first team starts and to eventually become a first teamer.

The club needs more young pros like him about.

No shame in him not getting on as both Chris Smalling and Phil Jones could be considered more experienced at CB due to them having been starters for Blackburn and Fulham last year.

He's done well to get in the squad though and I think he'll be staying there as he has impressed.

Ohh definatly no shame in not playing. Its just that it would have been nice to see the lad turn out for England on my doorstep.

Not had a chance to read through other threads or if it has been mentioned but With Dirky injured, I would like to see Kelly at RB and Johnson at RW for the time being

Think Johnson would struggle at RW in place of Dirk. Dirk does so much more work that Johnson does on the pitch that i think he will be found wanting. I think Gerrard will slot wide right for a couple of games.

Although id love to see Kelly in the side for a few games

Surely with cole suspened Maxi wide right is a no brainer, in all honesty on current form Maxi should be starting there
