Bloody crazy to loan the guy out - we've basically given him away on a free for the season. If this was Roy's decision that should be a sacking offence right there. Madness. As others have said, he started showing glimpses of class towards the end of last season. He deserved a chance this year.
There is no way we should be held to ransom by Juventus on this. Would be happy to see him return.K ris90210

Agreed : Juventus can **** themselves. And Roy is truly the most senile manager in World Football. He's been managing for 35 years and yet knows **** all. What he did with Aquilani and Insua and replacing them with average players (Meireles and Konchesky) is truly mindless.

I couldn't agree more. Extremely poor business on our part and I too would love to see him come back. He wasn't given a chance to show his worth and hopefully if he does come back we will have a new manager that will be able to truly test his skills.

no one will be anything with that old duffer Hodgson in charge and its rumoured that Klinsman is being lined up by Henry's group to take over. He mustve turned on a few people at those USA swingers parties being kinky German n all

So Aquilani deserves a chance but Meireles doesn't? Weird way of thinking thereOriginally posted by saj View Post

Cracking goal today, only saw the highlights but he looked rather prominent. That goal, coupled with a very good performance against Inter, and it makes me cringe so much looking at the state of our midfield. Love him or hate him any one can see he brings something to the table, which is a lot more than you can say about any of our midfielders.

Bags of creativity there but who would do the defending?Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostA midfield three of gerrard, meireles and aquilani would be nice. Add babel and cole on the wings, torres up top, glen at rb, Kelly lb and carra and agger with pepe in goal and that's a decent team.K ris90210

La Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that Juventus are beginning to have serious doubts about spending the €16.5million required to make Alberto Aquilani’s move from Liverpool permanent in the summer. Aquilani is apparently demanding €3.5m per season but Juve general manager Giuseppe Marotta is only willing to give him €2.5m, according to the Italian newspaper. The availability of a cheaper option in Andrea Pirlo, who is available on a Bosman free transfer in the summer from AC Milan, has also complicated matters as although the 31 year old’s wages would be more, they wouldn’t have to shell out a transfer fee too.

If we dont sell him to Juve, i think we may do well to even get £10m for him. We could do with the money to put in our kitty.
