Rafa doesn't agree. Are you missing Rafa's comments about aqua? about how he has no heart and is not up for english footie.Originally posted by Arn View PostAquilani would be a better option than Gerrard in any position if you look at the last 20 months.
Even Rafa admitted he was a waste of money so let it go.

Rafa said something like that Aquilani didn't have the right mentality and that he didn't thought he was really injured.Originally posted by saj View PostCan you send a link to those quotes because it sounds like you made them up - I'll take a no-reply as you having made them up.
He started to play Aquilani a lot more after that comment. Everyone know about the physio and Purslow, that the physio was picked by Purslow who may or may not given out false diagnoses. The ones about Torres and Aquilani.
Rafa got tired of it and it seems that he finally didn't give a **** what the physio said and played Aquilani.Stop the cyberhate

Arn, the bit about the physio and possibly given false diagnoses is nuts mate, why would someone put his career at risk by doing it, crazy consipiracy theory there mate.Originally posted by Arn View PostRafa said something like that Aquilani didn't have the right mentality and that he didn't thought he was really injured.

It wasn't me that came up with the physio conspiracy bit. Rafa himself said that the physio and some other back room staff was suddenly appointed by Purslow and he didn't have any say about it.Originally posted by rcasemore View PostArn, the bit about the physio and possibly given false diagnoses is nuts mate, why would someone put his career at risk by doing it, crazy consipiracy theory there mate.

Purslow decided by the look of it appoint back room staff that he could trust.Stop the cyberhate

This club was run so badly that it almost went bankrupt. We had two owners that fought each other. A CEO that only cared about himself.
A few months ago we was the big laughing stock in world football. Try and do a good job as manager in a club like that. I would say that it is almost impossible.
All it took for Chelsea to lose it completely was one off the pitch problem, the Clarke sacking. Outstanding before that and average after it.
Rafa of course also mentioned that it was Purslow that signed a few players and that he didn't had any say about it. Aquilani may or may not been one of them.Stop the cyberhate

Unfortunately everyone, Arn is not lying about this one! IIRC, even Rafa's wife tweeted/facebooked something about the Australian doctor being appointed by PurslowOriginally posted by Arn View PostIt wasn't me that came up with the physio conspiracy bit. Do you mean Ray Wilkins or Steve Clarke?
Purslow I'm 95% certain did not sign any players when Rafa was there. The only player who sort of was signed against Rafa's wish was Robbie Keane but and that was by Parry. Rafa wanted both Barry and Keane as he felt the combo of them would work well but when the deal for Barry fell through, Parry went and signed Keane anyway even though Rafa didn't want him on his own.My kebab comes with chilli sauce

Maybe Rafa lied, who knows
Inter Milan manager Rafa Benitez has launched a peculiar rant aimed at Liverpool's ousted owners, after Tom Hicks' claim last week that the Spaniard was to blame for the problems on the pitch at Anfield.
Benitez, who succeeded Jose Mourinho at the San Siro in the summer, responded to Hicks' comments by pointing the finger of blame at the door of managing director Christian Purslow.
Hicks blamed Benitez for squandering Liverpool's millions on a succession of poor signings, but the Inter boss cited the Americans' decision to appoint Purslow as the turning point in the Reds' fortunes.
In an rant that is bound to draw comparisons with Eric Cantona's infamous 'seagulls and trawlers' statement several years ago, Benitez compared his departure to that of a bottle of milk.
"I prefer not to talk too much about Liverpool because I feel sorry for the fans," the Spaniard said ahead of Inter's Champions League game with Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday.
"We have a saying in Spanish, which is 'White liquid in a bottle has to be milk'.
"What does this mean? It means that after 86 points and finishing second in the league, what changed? The Americans, they chose a new managing director [Purslow] and everything changed.
"So what changed? The managing director is involved in all the decisions: new lawyer, new chief of press, new manager, nine players, new medical staff, new fitness coaches. They change everything, so they change managing director then we change everything that we were doing in the past.
"If you ask me what's going on it's simple - they changed some things and by the end they changed everything. White liquid in a bottle - milk. You know who to blame!"
Purslow survived the cull at Anfield last week and still holds his position as Liverpool’s managing director.

The players we signed after appointed Purslow and until FSG bought the club. Nine of them bought by Purslow without Rafa or any other manager having any say on it.
Johnson, Aquilani, Kyrgiakos, Ayala, Maxi, Shelvey, Jovanovic, Cole, Wilson, Aurelio, Poulsen, Jones, Meireles, Konchesky.
Take you pick. I don't have a clue which nine players. If Rafa didn't lie then Purslow signed nine of the above players because he wanted them and didn't care a bit what the manager wanted.Stop the cyberhate
