Babel is absolutely terrible out wide in a 4-4-2, he's the worst player you could put in that position. Maxi is crap, there's a reason he's not playing, and the more he's on the bench, the legend of him being the player he was 4 years ago and actually being good, grows stronger. He's the biggest myth going. It's incredible how many people rate him.

WTF??? Crying?? This isn't Koptalk mate. I haven't complained about your post, I haven't spoken to anyone, I think people can see with their own eyes what type of person you are. Its all your own work.

Bob is putting a positive spin on it as much as is possible in the situation. Given that we've played 2 games, and faced a good team, and have a **** midfield, I think that's a fair position to take at the moment.

The only plus point, is that we happened to be playing against two sides against whom, if you get things wrong, you'll probably be punished - in City away and Arsenal.

However, against most of the other ****e in this league (and there's a lot of ****e teams, trust me) you'd think and hope that we'd have enough to win the vast majority of the time, even if it's just individual class from the likes of Torres or Gerrard or Cole, that pulls it out of the bag for us.

I still think that if we can beat most of the dross, which to be fair, we didnt do last year, and hold our own against some of the better sides (ok, we didnt tonight but we did against Arsenal), then we might be closer to the top 4 than tonight has suggested.

Fingers crossed. The annoying thing is, after West Brom at home (and by god, surely we'll win that), we have a stupid international break, so as soon as we pick up 3 points (assuming we do), and have a chance to build up some momentum, we have a break for internationals Grrr....

Babel did more in the first minute than Javanovic managed. Maxi is better in a 442 than the plodding, trickless Kuyt. Dont get me wrong, I think they're all average, but you play each to their strengths.

Didn't have the privilege of watching the game (perhaps a good thing) so had to listen to parts on 5 Live. Were we really that bad? Does Torres look like he's getting back to his usual self?

                  Not all doom and gloom...

                  1. At least we got the City away game out of the way sooner rather than later I'd imagine in several weeks/months time they'll be a lot better especially with Balotelli fit.
                  2. We had Cole out (unfairly).
                  3. They spent a **** load of money.
                  4. We've had the hardest two starting games in the PL.
                  5. It's only the 2nd game.
                  6. Our next home game is West Brom

Anyone else can't stand Robbie Savage? can't believe how much he was licking Man City's arse and slagging us off when commentating on the game. He's a pathetic ugly c***.

                    hasnt it just.

Though not many have a bench like City to be fair.

Not sure Chelsea or the scum have a bench like that. MAybe spurs look to have a stronger bench than most their bench isnt much behind the first 11 if there is such a thing.

i just cant see where we go.

The only answer is lots of hard work. i would say we need another goal scorer to take the load off Torres but they arent cheap and if he doesnt get supply does it matter?

that we need 6 players thing looks right.

We still lose this game with Maxi/Babel instead of Kuyt/Jova. All four are nowhere near good enough to be starting for a top team. Kuyt is alright if you want him to compliment a top class winger on the other flank (Like Ji Sung Park did for Ronaldo and like Kuyt himself does for the Dutch side).

Not unless his usual self is now a selfish player with a poor touch. He's not right, hopefully he'll click against poorer opposition and take it from there.
