wanted the ball, opened up loots of (mainly unused) opportunities, looked to score a goal. don't think we'll see him in that position again though. good start i guess, although not sure how much really you can tell from that much game time.

I think you said it all with that statement. He didn't wait to settle, didn't play safe, demanded the ball at every opportunity and to me in 15 minutes he played he was one of our most effective players (tells also how poorly we played yesterday).

I am really looking forward to see more of him and I think we finally have someone who will not be a disappointment.

Merieles looked busy and made some good runs, was very easy to spot his rund as the lack of movement from every one of our players was glaring so Merieles was brath of fresh air when he came on.

Have my reservations about him but really want him to succeed. I'm sure he'll start on Thursday, much better game for him.
