    Torres abuse

The guy is clearly still recovering from a long layoff yet is getting hammered by all and sundry. He showed glimpses of what he could do yesterday (should have played Raul in after that mazy run) but clearly needs time. All a bit OTT isn't it? I just hope he doesn't start believing the critics.

Yep, press are really going to town on him. It's an utter joke, but not in the least bit surprising.

Somewhat started by Jamie Redknapp's post match comments I believe.

I've said a while back that i think, N'gog should be our first choice for a few week and we should look to bring Torres back steadily and slowly, firstly because of his injury record, playing him unfit against a though side can't be good, and secondly becuse he's well out of form atm, but to get into form he needs match practice, i'm just not sure him starting games is the best choice. I'd rather bring him on in the 60. minute, and unleash him on tired defenders.

All well if N'gog wasn't injured

I disagree, we are handling him perfectly at the moment. He needs games and he needs starts. Resting him in the Europa is very sensible so as not to over work him, but he should start every Premier League game.

Redknapp can go and ****in do one. The gutter press are on Torres' back now thanks to that cunt Redknapp.

So Torres had a tough afternoon. Hardly like he is out of sorts and off form though. The media *******s conveniently overlooked his stunning 2 goals for Spain last week didn't they.

                  Fully justified too.

He was a disgrace yesterday. The sulking and whinging has to stop.

I actually agree with most of Redknapp's points to be honest. He looked lazy and sulky yesterday, particularly in the first half.

Redknapp should have kept his gob shut mind, but he get payed to mouth off.

Torres is a big man, I'm sure he can take it.

He's there to voice his opinion, whether we agree or not, and on this occasion he was partly justified in his remarks.
