Well they certainly haven't helped their cause, or gained favour, no. We may be reading about foreign interviews from Babel and Agger, about how they're getting frustrated, again some time soon.

They'd do well to consider how frustrated the fans feel, before whinging about their own frustrations. You got a chance against a 4th division side, and you ****ed up - so you dont play again for a while. Sounds more than fair.

I don't think Shelvey and Kelly will. Both played well tonight and they will be decent players for the future.

It would be nice if they got more of a shot especially over the coming months, Pacheco too. I'm expecting big things from these three.

Rafa took massive criticism and vitriol in his first season after our FA Cup defeat at Burnley

There is no reason why Roy shouldnt face the same criticism / vitriol

Aside from the fact that Roy's had his squad weakened considerably, you mean?

"There is nothing to say except I thought the effort was there, we didn't lose because we were casual in our approach or lethargic in our play, we lost unfortunately because we defended poorly on a couple of occasions and didn't use the ball well enough with the possession we had.
Can't agree with this. The effort wasn't there. We were casual in our approach and lethargic in our play.

We lost because we sat back to much and didn't take the game to them.

and he silenced those critics by taking the same team to win the Champions League.

Time to roll those sleeves up Roy old fella. You are in a ****ing war now.

Where did you watch the whole game? Because as far as i know, it wasnt on live anywhere and the delayed match coverage has only just seen the 90 mins end.

Of course he shouldn't and he won't but it's not going to help the situation is it, everyone on his back? We're all hacked off.

I'm confident and believe we will improve and I'm going to stick with that.

He fielded a weakend team in the FA Cup, not the Mickey Mouse cup who no one in reality gives a **** about.

That said, he will get the abuse. As will I when I go to work later today.

IIRC Rafa had a transfer budget that didnt equate to making a profit. It's all too easy to pinpoint one player, but Rafa was also given money to spend.

No, he silenced them when he put out a proper team the next year and won the competition
